2012 GOP Primaries

The primaries for the 2012 American presidential election are going on here in the states, the District of Columbia, and several overseas US colonies. Iowa and New Hampshire have already finished their primaries. Ron Paul is doing extremely well and is quickly gaining a massive amount of support. There are also a few competing candidates: Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Buddy Roemer and Newt Gingrich. Feel free to post anything in regards to the primaries in this thread. So who does everyone support and why?

I will most likely be voting for Ron Paul. He actually wants to use his Federal position to give states more rights. I like that.

In all seriousness, I intend to vote for whoever of the lot is less of an asshole, regardless of party affiliation. At the moment, that'd be Ron Paul.

One thing I can't stand is people who vote for people only because of party affiliation. I knew a family who voted republican no matter what. Straight republican. Why not forget parties and listen to candidates as individuals?
