Yes, the banner is pretty sweet. I hardly ever take the time to appreciate it any more, but it really ties this place together. Some nice functuay and vibes.

The amount of threads made about the banner speaks a lot of the quality of it.

Here's my critique:

1st Banner:
X images 1-4 look good but they don't set off my nostalgia of RE in these images.
X image 3 (center, umbrella forces vs zombies in alley) looks like its from the RE movies which were utter garbage, sorry. It'd rather not be reminded of them.
X image 5 "welcome to..." sign: I don't like it. I'd rather see characters than a road sign. People connect and memorize characters and enemies more than objects and signs.

2nd Banner:
✓ 1st image: Great image of Hunk!
X 2nd image: Why are there 2 images of Nemes. 1 is enough. Toss it.
✓ 3rd image: This shot of Nemesis is perfect, the gatling gun, him roaring with anger, perfect.
X 4th image: Map of Racoon city is boring, toss it.
X 5th image: RE6 roster. Please no, do not remind us of the worst of the RE franchise.
X 6th image: RE2 zombie behind door. This was terrible when they used it as a promo 15 years ago and it still is. Although memorable it's just out of place and odd.

3rd Banner:
X 1st image: Umbrella Labs log in screen. Toss it.
X 2nd image: RE6. Let go of RE6 it sucks.
✓ 3rd image: GREAT Licker image!
X 4th image: Leon solo. I'd rather see a group photo than just Leon.
X 5th image: RE5 Ndesu. Lose the RE5 Ndesu image. He was a pathetic crap boss and a sad pathetic El Gigante clone. Nothing memorable about him.
✓ 6th image: Great Hunk image!
✓ 7th image: Great "infected hands" image.


Try to include a roster of the old RE characters in it. Chris, Jill, Leon, Ada, Claire, Sherry, Wesker. Those were the best times.

@Voltius, I enjoyed your critiquing. I think Douc- Down should probly combine the images similar to how you mentioned.

But I gotta dissagree on one point. Ndesu. Come on now, dont hate on him. Thats literally my favourite boss, ever. He sometimes gets a bad rep, but thats one of the most underrated boss fights in gaming history. Its really innovative and exciting the way that you shoot at him from the gun turret on the back of that Jeep! And for those who like to call Ndesu a simple El Gigante clone, just no. He's totally different! He has a beard, and like dead goat bodies n shit hanging from his waist. El Gigante got nothin on that.

I kinda like the Welcome to Raccoon sign, though.

You know what? You're right. His design is pretty bad ass. The soldiers and goat sacrifices hanging off of him are awesome. It was the first thing I noticed and loved about that boss. Capcom actually designed him to be able to fight you when you're on foot. I saw a modder spawn an Ndesu in the RE5 Canyon Area and fought him on foot. It just sucks how they dumbed down and simplified that game.

Down just likes to show up every now and again and mess with the banner for some reason.

Like I mentioned before, something different would actually be pretty cool for awhile. Of course also hanging onto the Last Supper Banner. Possibly bring it back later on. That's Teh Spike's vote.

@Down, not sure what you're working on there, but I think I speak for everyone when I say the banner should include Ndesu! Probably one of the best and most recognizable bosses from RE5 and any RE game!

@Voltius, RE5 did seem simplified. I think its when they changed everything because of the accusations of racism.

Nope. I've definately never heard that saying before.

And I still really like our "table one", its the brain child of Teh Spike. But change is necessary and refreshing sometimes. And inevitable.The table banner will always be the coolest, but we have been using it for a good minute. If we change the banner to something else cool for a while, it wont be too different. I mean, it wont be like changing into into a complete action shooter from survival/horror, ya know?
