| It seems people here already know about some of this stuff but I'm gonna post 'em anyway. I like being informative. Dee-AyCrispin ‘Dee-Ay’ Jettingham has been a soldier for as long as he can remember. He was the government’s top choice to be the leader of the Echo Six team. Always calm and collected, he is a true soldier and is highly skilled and efficient with his weaponry and his orders. HarleyA foul-mouthed ex-biker, Erez ‘Harley’ Morris joined the service to avoid going to jail. Excelling in medicine during operation Desert Storm, Harley unexpectedly became one of the best medics in the field. Always putting other’s lives before his, he will always do his best to make sure no man is left behind. Party GirlSienna ‘Party Girl’ Fowler got her reputation throwing wild parties in her youth for businessmen and officials. Little did they know that every party she threw was also recorded with hidden equipment, which would be sold to the highest bidder. The government hired her after she managed to dupe their top surveillance expert at one of her parties. ShonaExposed to death at a young age, Lawrence ‘Shona’ Kimbala began treating diseases in his home country of Zimbabwe. After his father’s death, he attended Harvard medical school where he realized he had a skill for controlling viruses instead of curing them. He joined the Army’s special weapons program as their foremost expert in virology. TweedMarissa ‘Tweed’ Ronson has a quick tongue and a ready fuse. Originally working for the British Secret Service, she disappeared after a bomb removal operation left her scarred. Hand-picked by the government, Tweed became part of Echo Six because of her unparalleled expertise in demolitions. WillowCaroline ‘Willow’ Floyd developed her skill for speed and elusion growing up alone on a reservation in Montana. She joined the Army straight out of school, excelling as part of the Special Forces. Never satisfied with herself, Willow continues to hone her skills each and every day. [source] |

That's what I was thinking myself. She sounds more like an intel kinda person. |

| Props to Slant Six for adding a Native American character. Is she the first NA character in video game history?
(excluding the western genre) |

(excluding the western genre) Why excluding the western games? I have a few examples: the main character in Prey, Nightwolf in MK and T.Hawk in Street Fighter. |

I have a few examples: the main character in Prey, Nightwolf in MK and T.Hawk in Street Fighter. Stereotypes One might nitpick and say Willow is also a stereotype because of her knife skills but at least she doesn't have a feather in her head and isn't giving out ancient spiritual wisdom. I meant western genre, such as games like red dead. |

True, however I meant featherless, non wisdom spouting Native Americans. The point I was trying to make was that it's refreshing to see and I was wondering has it ever been done before. |

| The main character in Prey was not a stereotype. Heck, he even thought his father was ridiculous as he insisted on all the rituals and whatnot. |

| Hmm, so outside of DeeAy and Willow they are not even specialized at combat but they manage to survive in Raccoon City eh? Guess Party Girl's espionage, surveillance, and stealth skills must have led them through |

Tweed: "unparalleled expertise in demolitions" Shona: "skill for controlling viruses instead of curing them" Harley: "one of the best medics in the field" They wouldn't even be in the Spec-Ops, let alone a special division if they didn't have any combat skills. They are trained to be in combat. The info here is about their special skills, which, to be exact, are equal to those of the USS team. |

The info here is about their special skills, which, to be exact, are equal to those of the USS team. Basic combat is a requirement for the military. I'm talking about specialization. And the USS team in this game is not their main ground combat squad. They're just there to "clean up the mess" pretty much and do dirt work like collect samples and kill the living which is a breeze as Vector or Spectre can both kill Leon(pre secret service training) by themselves without breaking a sweat. |

| So what's saying these guys couldn't be a specialized team? They seem way better equipped and prepared than the regular military. |

Hence the purpose of special operations: Small, intensely-trained tactical units of 4 to 8 men who are given significant leeway in weapons, tactics, and training to carry out the most difficult missions, missions which regular forces aren't equipped or properly trained to undertake. |
