First off, it was indeed the TAL9S prototype, and Ivan, Sergei's bodyguard, hit the Cerberus with a backhand, not the prototype.

Becca was up in the mansion with Richard, but i dont recall her saying anything about Billy at that point.

And lastly, when did Capcom say what you said they said?

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. Yeah, it's been a long time since I've played that game.

I don't think everyone ends up having the same dialogue, but before the cutscene started in my playthrough, she mentioned Billy. So I guessed I got worked up over nothing.

Supposedly they said that to an audience member attending Comic-Con who had asked if Billy will ever return.

I think I remember her mentioning him in the very first scene for her and Richard when she's dreaming. I'll have to go back and play of course, it's been awhile for me too.

Yeah, I got it from Resident Evil Wikia. It's been there for a long time now. No one has edit it and people there are on that shit. Especially now with all this Resident Evil goodness.
