Subject: Theory about RE5 Mon Jun 06, 2011 6:19 pm
I have a Theory that Sherry is in Resident evil 5. Sherry was around 10-12 years old in resident evil 2, which took place around 1998-1999. In resident evil 5, it took place in 2009,only 10 years later. What if Sherry was the girl in chapter 1-2 who came out of a building screaming for help? She looks around 18-21, so I have a theory that is sherry. well, if it is, she died. Chris killed her. But it's just a theory. They are both blonde. Reason for being in africa: I think wesker somehow captured her and brought her there, then she escaped and lived among the city, hidden. Just my theory.Thoughts??

She could of changed her name, like Kmart changed her name in RE: Extinction, still a possibility so....

Make up all the explanations you want, it doesn't make your theory any less wrong. Allyson is not Sherry.

So basically you are saying that Capcom took a fairly important character, changed her name, and killed her off within seconds of revealing her, all the while not letting us know? How are you sanely defending this argument?

To be fair you did a comparison with that joke of a RE movie, so that probally did enrage the arguiment further lol Also Nite is right they dont just kill off important characters in the RE games gently If a character dies they go out in style
Could name one from every Game but just since I recently done a run for RE3 then Mikhail Victor, He was wounded and still battled the nemisis So Jill and carlos could make it safely to the ClockTower and also because he couldn't win he gave up his life by letting his grenades off and blowing up himself and nemesis(like that work )
So yeah RE characters go out in fashion or dont go out at all

I'm much less critical of the films as Nite and wasn't at all enraged. It's just that when someone's wrong about something (especially something to do with RE, GTA, MGS, etc.), I tell them that without any kind of sugar coating.

Why is everyone saying Sherry is important??? I Dont find her important, I just find her as a helpless little girl who had the G-Virus sample in her necklace who played a small role in RE2. Nothing big there!!!!!!!!!

I didn't mean it like that, I think enrage was a poor choice of word for that occasion I just thought that even though he got it wrong and tried to arguie the point by mention the movie that it would get people going crazy, since half of the community here can't stand the movies especially Nite. Also I'm one of the haters of the films and dont like when people making comparisons of the game with the film first because I think the films are garbage and games came first Yeah It's better not sugar coating the truth, Telling it how it is, is the best way
@Evil Rage 42 - We are saying she's important because she is important Here is a few reason's; 1.Resident evil 2 was one of the best titles in the series, infact 1 to 3 was so resident evil series was a big part of most of our childhoods and holds much nostalgia.
2.All characters in RE are amazing and we also want to hear more about characters past and hear there side to the story because most of us are huge fans and want to know info that we dont know already.
3.she was a main character in RE2 and is also the daughter of william birken the head researcher behind the T and G virus. is that not enough to make here an important character ?!
4. Everyone likes to see a return of a character and also If they dont die in a game that means somwhere out there she is living and doing something in the RE world and we want to find out what she has been doing for the past 13 years because by now she will be a adult (25 to be exact) , So we are just wanting the series to advance and bring in new faces that havn't been overused (like leon) and see there side to the story
So that proves your statment wrong because the matter of the fact is there is "something big there",

I'd also like to add a few things to Mcghie's post:
Wesker said "Sherry is safe in our hands. I would never underestimate Birkin. There's something about this little girl..." and that would imply she has a meaning within the big picture.
And even if that part was omitted from the 10th Anniversary Edition, there's still this:
In short, she has the G-antibody. That makes her important.

The one real opening, storywise, for her to be in Africa, would have been RE5, maybe something along the lines of Wesker taking her with him.
I still stand by the theory that the blonde that gets infected for no reason, was meant to be Sherry.

They probally will bring her back, Also that could very well be a possibilty because her father (william) was on umberellas side and so was her mother (annette) Also Wesker maybe brainwashed her into thinking it was Leon ans Claires fault that her Mother perished. Either that or she will be against them because they did backstab her dad and cause the Raccoon city inccident. One way or the other I bet she will come back in kick ass mode Like she will be a battlehardened and not a civillian type girl anymore.
