| If so what did you think about it?
I just finished it up yesterday and, I gotta tell ya, it made me jump a time or two. I thought the gameplay was great, graphics were good, and the story was amazing. I really like this game, a good survival horror. |

| 360 owner, but I haven't played Alan Wake, in fact, I haven't heard of it...guess I've been under a rock.
Anyway, the only new game that has really sparked my interests is Red Dead Redemption... |

| Red Dead Redemption is next on my list.
Alan Wake is definitely worth going through. I loved it personally. A very dark game with a great story behing it, I would recommend it. I am currently on my second go through (I am an achievement whore and want them all) |

If it plays like GTA4, I will love it, plus the western thing is really cool too. |

It is very dark, with your brightness settings correct the flashlight your character carries is often the only source of light. You will get brief glimpses of the Taken against the horizon... The contrast between the dark and the light is so much that it actually causes your eyes to adjust when you step into a light filled safe haven. This game must be played alone, and in a dark room. It is the first game to actually make me flinch (granted only once or twice) in a long while. It is very cinematic and story driven with many elements used to build suspense and further explain the story. I don't think any fan of survival horrors would be disappointed in this game at all. I enjoyed it so much that I finished it in two sittings, I just couldn't put it down. Best of all, It is somewhat challenging, even on normal difficulty. Ammo is scarce in some parts and you find yourself dodging and sprinting just hoping you make it to the light before you are killed. I hope I'm not overdoing it but I am really REALLY impressed with this game. |

| @Spike: Don't worry...the game has had absolutely no advertising campaign. The only reason I know about it is because it was featured in a Game Informer (my girlfriend gets them). Weird, considering it's Microsoft and has no media coverage. Seems like Sony is using ads more than M$ these days. |

| Thats true Nite, The game has been talked about and been in development for 5 years or so now and I knew nothing of it until about 6 months before release. The only advertising i have seen even now is what is available on Xbox Live. |

No advertising campaign...kind of reminds me of RE. RE doesn't really have much of that either, maybe a commercial or two, certainly some great trailers on the Tube, but I really don't ever see too much from it. |

| In addition, I've uploaded the whole Soundtrack, as in the songs on the CD that comes with special edition, to my Youtube account.

I hadn't heard of American Nightmare before, I too must be living under a rock. I loved the first game and will definitely get American Nightmare. |

| Found the release dates for the PC version and American Nightmare, thought I'd share.
Alan Wake is coming to the PC on Steam and Origin and the Steam release date will be February 16th. The game will include the extra DLC chapters and the price for it will be $29.99 while the Limited Collector's Edition will cost you $34.99. Retail version of the game will be available later this year.
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare will launch on February 22nd for 1200 Microsoft Points in the XBox Live Arcade. Hopefully they'll release a PC version of this game later on. |
