What was meant to happen?

Did Barry die in Chris's scenario in the RE1 Remake becasuse we don't see him at the end of the game? Is Rebbeca meant to die as well in Jills scenario becasue we don't see her in the game either?

The canon storyline says that both Barry and Rebecca survived.

barry died in mine because i let him so i could get his magnum

Yeah i'm certain you could effect things but not doing certain things...i recall playing as Jill once and i did something i don't clearly recall but when i went into that room with the ceiling that comes down...well lets just say Barry NEVER came to save me and i became a true Jill sandwich......it was in the original though...not the REmake.

Like 6 times....6 bleeding ties i checked that door.......and still no hope of a rescue...Barry was a git lol.
