I just thought of this cool idea!

Do you think it would be a cool idea to play each resident evil game in chronicological order from Resident Evil 0 all the way up to Resident Evil 5? How long do you reckon it would take to complete them all if you are quite a skilled gamer?

Well I wouldn't play RE0 first, as it is intended, chronoligically to be played after CVX...as it mentions Raccoon City, Sheen Island and Rockfort Island in the RE0 intro, it was meant to be played as a prequel going back after those incidents. And it also gets a bit tricky deciding what should be played when...

But if a person knows what to do it shouldn't take too long, assuming that is all they are doing, as I don't think anyone has so much free time that they can just wake up, sit down and start playing RE...

It'd probably take about 3-5 hours per game. Less than a day for all of the main games if you are good. Also, skip the cutscenes.

If you skip the cutscenes then your missing out on the whole RE expierience.

I meant if you want to beat all the games in under one day you will have to skip them. Not to mention I know every cutscene like the back of my hand already...

That is very true, and not to mention the documents, if you want the best and fullest experience then you have to do all of that.

But as Nite said, he knows all of the cutscenes, and I would be lying if I said I didnt know them so well I could quote them...

I would give it a go if I had more time on my hands...I also wouldn't skip anything in the play through

That sounds like it'd be a good multi-part video challenge.

I think it can be done without skipping cutscenes within a day... Well, I mean we passed the game several time, at least we know where to go or what to do on some tricky places... Puzzles and stuff

Ok if had all the games I would do it on the PS3 and Game Cube and it would prob take me about 30-40 hours. Nothing I cant handle with a bit of Redbull and coffe.
Also I need some popcorn for the cut scenes

Yes, and timerun is not my thing unless there is some sort of achievements to obtain

I seriously doubt if such a run is possible or is required. May be on a lower difficulty. Why play a lower difficulty when it is already said and done? And RE4 is such a long game and with speed of leon and ashley i would serioulsy doubt completion on a harder difficulty in less than a day unless there is a clear strats and measured ammo for each stage. May be on vacation but definitely not on a weekend or weekday.

I actually did this back when Resident Evil 4 was released, played though each of the main series games plus Survivor and Dead Aim. Took about 3 days, with gaps for food and sleep, so roughly 30 hours-ish. Although for a true chronological playthrough you need to break stuff up a bit-

Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil 1
Resident Evil 3 -up until Jill gets infected
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3 - Carlos goes off to the hospital
Code Veronica
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 5

For those considering it, its worth doing. However you will be sick of Resident Evil after you finish and probably wont want to to touch the games for a few weeks.
