So...Umbrella corps

is anyone buying this now? I'm tempted cause soem friends of mine are buying it, and playing it with other people might ease the experience a bit, (if it is that bad then we can all laugh together at how Capcom took our money), haven't decided yet though.

I am kind of riding the same boat, if enough friends want to goof around on it then I would buy it, otherwise I can't justify purchasing it because it doesn't particularly look good.

Not if Nite's life depended on it.

I guess The Internets says the game is surprisingly good.

The Experiment was dull, mindless fun. And the story excerpts were interesting to say the least. Admittedly they were throwaway, but they didn't break the canon and offer some more insightful detail into Umbrella's mysterious rival companies.

Still waiting for a cheap price. Might happen soon since I hear the game is doing extremely badly with people playing online, at least on PC. Reviews are mixed.

They did announce more maps and content that will be available for free soon enough.

I like Ghost Leader's signature banner about how to sum up RE, because after playing Umbrella Corps, that's how a lot of people feel. Personally, I feel the 'real' RE died around mid-2004. The rest since has been commercial slop that hasn't been all that scary. Like, I maybe jumped a few times but I wasn't in constant dread like the others before 2003.

Eh, I still don't see RE ever being "scary". It was scary when I was a kid, now it's just a game with zombies in it. REmake, and partly Dead Aim, are the only games in the series I'd actually call real horror. Sure, Nemesis in 3 is scary, but that's about it in that one. His appearance in Umbrella Chronicles, imo, was just as terrifying as it was in 3.

My point is, I'm still able to enjoy the series because it never was the horror that especially interested me.

With today's graphics and with a good imagination, horror games could be made better than they are. Sadly, it's all about being John Rambo in a zombie infested world. At least The Evil Within tried.

Evil Within tried and came out boring as all hell. I didn't even finish it because I felt like falling asleep every time I played it. That was the first game I've ever just given up with, and I played through Resident Evil Missions.
