Pedro followed and caught up with Alec at the door, "Ey, don't forget about me, mayne. When we see any of those undead creeps I'll swing away, Holmes! I used to play for the Minnesota twins." Pedro said gripping his bat, and letting Alec take the initial lead, since he appaerently knew the city and even had a shop.

Pedro seemed plenty eager to go out into the nightmare city of the dead.

Alec turned to the woman clinging to his arm.

"It'd be best if you stay with Derryl. It'll be mine and Pedro's job to gather supplies and ensure us all a chance to escape with our lives."

Alec then tapped three times on the door, and listened with an ear to the door: nothing. He then turned to Pedro.

"The coast is definitely clear. So, headshots are worth fifty points. Chest shots, 25. Legs, 15. If it stops moving, you win. However, if you don't have a gun at the point, stay away from anything not humanoid. And if it is bigger than me, RUN."

"What? No!" Charlotte exclaimed, "If you guys even want to try to get medical supplies, I need to be there to guide you through the hospital. If one of you get hurt then someone has to treat you. I'm coming with you guys." She said for the first time actually sounding like she was confident.

"Would y'all discuss this later? We have the door wide open, and if any of those monsters come inside, it'll be your fault." The large man yelled at the group stalling at the open door. "Crazy cracka's just talking like it's no big deal..." Derryl muttered to himself.

Taily pushed passed Alec and Pedro, a 13 inch chefs knife clutched tightly in her right fist. Quiet and slow, the teen slunk out into the alley. Back pressed against the wall, she looked upwards at the roofs ledge before slinking out on all fours to the mouth of the alley.

As clear as the alley was, there WERE undead nearby and Taily wanted to see them before the group made any moves. Blade at the ready, the youth blew a chunk of hair out of her face to allow an unobstructed view of the area beyond the diner.

Alec shut the door and turned to the woman.

"If you are going to come with us, it'll be important that you do not engage anything unless you are forced to. If you'll be the one to provide first aid, we can't risk your safety. Unless someone is injured, there shouldn't be much need to go to the hospital unless we have weapons and transportation as well. Then, we'll have proper defenses and space for medical supplies. In a situation like this, a hospital is the worst place to be. Besides, my Gun Shop is closer to us than the hospital."

Alec opened the door.

"You might want to get inside kid, those zombies seem to like the obvious target. Also, that butchers knife may not protect you against some of the other things lurking around this city."

Alec stepped outside for a second a looked at the distant zombies, and turned back to the kid.

"You do realize that they won't even come over here unless they do it on accident, right? They don't have much hindsight, and some of them are too slow to even be considered threats. If I were you, I'd focus on more obvious threats. Be aware of your situation, and always think ahead. If anything, just look up: there are windows up there. Undead can fall out of those, as well as anything else. Worry about those, not the flesh eaters over there. Unless you actually move over in that direction. Then you worry about not being spotted."

Alec went back inside and closed the door again.

"Just some distant undead bastards. They'll wander off. Until then, we ought to lay low, out of sight. I suggest working through the thicker gaps between the zombies and debris."

"What the hell are you doing?" Derryl asked Alec opening the door and dragging Taily back in the diner, "Look, either get out there and do something or bunker down in here. Y'all figure it out, but until then, don't leave anyone behind."

Derryl's unusual anger caught Charlotte off guard, he was stern and she's never seen him like that in the past, being a regular at The Last Resort. "Look, we just need to... make sure out plan is the safest one." She said explaining more to herself than anyone who would listen. "And if they won't come over here, then it's safe to say that we can use this diner as a base of operations. We just need to gather supplies so we can last."

Alec thought about the woman's idea.

"This diner is stable and secure enough to use for a make-shift base, but if we need supplies, we'll have to travel by night. We have better senses than the party of corpses outside. As long as we be careful and stick together, we should be just fine. My shop will still be a major point of interest, though. If we get there, I have tons of ammo for any weapon, a shit ton of guns - including some that the government would lock me away for even owning, and a few armored vehicles. The next stop would be the hospital. Eventually, we'll have to raid some general stores for non-perishables."

Alec listened next to the door for movement, and then continued.

"I've always been a bit of a nut when it came to survival, so you can thank me later for the vehicles and guns....and the cash. If we make it to my shop, I'll give everyone still alive 10 grand from my safe. I made quite a bit of cash from stealing, running, and selling automatics and explosives on the black market here in Raccoon."

"A lotta good, money would do us now." Derryl commented as he shook his head and crossed his arms. "Just make it back in one piece. We have enough potatoes and meat, the pop machine has been holding up just fine, but if you could find some baking materials or bread bring on that by. We have been running low on that. I'll cook us up something good." The large man then turned to Taily, "Listen little girl, you plan on heading out with those folk, you stay close by. You don't want to get your face eaten off, now do you?"

"Alright old man, you got a deal. But money would be a good thing to have when we actually get out of this city. The US Government definitely won't let this city stay here for long. And when the time is right, they'll bomb this city off the face of existence. They're doing everything to contain and destroy this plague, and if we get out, I plan on making sure we still have a future."

Alec listened to the sounds beyond the door again, waiting for any signs of the moans either moving closer to, or further away from the door.

"Kid, just make sure that you avoid corners and stick with our group if you actually leave. And stay away from anything that isn't humanoid in some way. I've noticed some...things outside. There's a good chance skin munchers aren't the only things out there looking to maw on human flesh. Oh, and Derryl, you said you wanted a shotgun. I just remembered having a custom shotgun being in the back of my shop. How does having a quad sound?"

Name: Sara Winters
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Skin: Caucasian
Height: 5'1"
Weight: 120 lbs
Hair: Long, straight, and black.
Eyes: Ice blue

Physical Description:
Sara is a slightly tanned woman, due to her Native American ancestors way down the line. Her body is slightly toned due to her everyday swimming that she enjoys. Her icy blue eyes hide somewhat behind her long black hair reaches to right above her hips, but she typically wears it in a ponytail when she is working on something or if it is just generally in the way.

She is a splitting image of her father on a normal day at work. With all her pouches and holsters. (Will probably repeat this fact later in the description.)

Gear/Clothes:
Usually wears clothes that keep her cool. Is always seen in shorts and boots.

Double leg Holsters: Brown belt, with black holsters. Keeps a gun in one holster so and various items in a pouch tucked into the other side. A few magazines are tucked into this pouch as well.

Gun of Choice: A Black with brown grip Remington 1911 R1

Knife: She keeps a nine inch tactical knife in a black holster at her back.

Hip Pouch: Black pouch. Keeps her phone and wallet in this pouch, along with a pen and notebook for notes she might have to write down.

Abilities:

Physical: Trained hard to be able to carry a 180 pound man on her back. She decided that she wanted to be able to do that if need be while she was training to be a police officer.

Is typically a good shot when it comes to rifles, not so good with shotguns.

Good at stealth, because she is a very cautious person.

Mental:
She is very determined when there is a task at hand and isn't easy to be convinced to back down from her responsibilities.

Takes things one at a time instead of rushing around trying to get everything done at once.

Personality:
Sara is a slightly timid person, but gets friendlier as time passes. Very weak when it comes to children and will do all possible to take care of them.

She tries hard to protect those around her so she'll be at the edges of a groups making sure nothing happens when she's around. Worry sometimes gets the better of her thoughts, she doesn't want to feel that it is her fault later on that she couldn't keep everyone safe.

History:
She was raised in Texas predominately by her ex military father. Even at a young age, she was always fascinated with his love for guns and knives and even picked up the trait as she aged. Anywhere she goes, she's a mini version of her father.

She had moved to Raccoon city with her mother when she started in high school because her father had happened to be between jobs and couldn't always be home with her.

After she had gotten out of high school, she took a year off to herself, then applied to a college that also contained a police academy. She graduated with decent scores and had just gotten her police badge a few days ago.

Sara sat at her booth in the corner, fiddling her police badge in her hands, not aware if the others had seen her sitting in silence.

After much consideration, she decided to get up from the booth where she sat, listening to the others.

She moved over towards the group, giving Derryl a thankful wave for the hospitality before making it to her destination.

"Here, I'll come with you guys. I'd like to help, even get another pistol from you, while we're out. If, that's alright with you, that is.

It looks like you're fairly prepared for anything except cold weather at the moment, but if we get to my shop in one piece, I have quite the selection of handguns. As a matter of fact, it seems that I may have something most suitable for you. I did have it custom made for myself, but considering the situation, it'd be best if everyone was properly armed."

Alec turned to the door once again, resting his free hand on it.

"Is everyone ready? Remember, stay in a group and avoid anything that won't kill us right away."

Sara laughs a little to herself, "Yeah, I can be a little anti-social at times, but I was thinking, I should probably head over here and help out. I love colder weather. But I'll be sure to grab something if we head out for a blizzard."

Stroking her chin thoughtfully, "I do love me some sick weaponry." Sara grins a little stupidly at the thought.

Moving over to stand by Alec, she rests her hand on her gun at her hip, holding it a little tightly than normal.

"We can do this," she says quietly, more to herself than anything.

In her head a billion thoughts are rushing by, but she refuses to let her worry get to her.

Nodding, she says more loudly, "I'm ready whenever you are."
