So in my opinion Kmart = Sherry.
Just you wait. I could bet that Anderson would slap both Jake and Sherry in the next movie because they were in the latest game. With a bunch of copied scenes, maybe even the Ustanak for good measure. I really hope not. I mean I love Sherry (hints username lol) but to me, It already makes sense if Kmart = Sherry. The relationship between Claire and Kmart is already there... adding another character with the name "Sherry Birkin" would be random, since their is already Kmart.... but then again, it is the movie universe, everything is basically different. And I really can't stand Jake. So fingers-crossed that doesn't happen. Unless he dies in the movie, then MAYBE. I'd be OK with them adding Ustanak. And they could add Piers, I'd like that. lol |

Nothing is impossible when it comes to Anderson. But if that ever happens, I don't think Capcom will approve it. Capcom is well aware that the movies are different from the games. One main reason we didn't get five different clones of Ada Wong running around China. |

I actually enjoy the movies for what they are. They aren't connected to the games canon. The movies are their own story. It's like a fan-fiction in my eyes. Paul's fanfic. That's why I don't think they should try and add Alice to the games. She's not from the video game's story-line and it should stay that way. They are two different worlds and that shouldn't be changed. On another note, I wonder if there will be a re-make of the movies in the future? a re-make much closer to the actually game's story-line. Starting with RE1 or they could tie in RE0 and RE1 together in one movie. |

They're going to keep making them. As long as they make money, they're going to keep making them. They're painfully showing us that's their intentions since they didn't stop after Resident Evil: Afterlife. |

Starting with RE1 or they could tie in RE0 and RE1 together in one movie. I cannot enjoy the movies after the second one. At all. This has absolutely nothing to do with them being RE, it has to do with how absolutely terrible director Anderson is and how the movies, even without the Resident Evil name on them, would be a bag of crap to me. Afterlife is literally one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life and I've seen all kinds of shit. Every time I see the case on my shelf I contemplate on destroying it. At least I didn't pay anything for it. I'm also fully aware they are not connected to the story in any way. Btw. Remaking the movies would make no sense. A reboot is what I'd prefer to see. - Vandal wrote:

I'm certain the movies will keep coming but at least I can rest easy if this whoel Alice storyline is put to rest. |

Like the original SF movie. Trust me, Capcom is not alone in this. Most VG-to-movie adaptations are terrible. It's like a rule or something. |

That is very true. The only film adaptation that I like, and I could say better is the Mortal Kombat, Max Payne, and Silent Hill. |

Remake/reboot. Remake's are most of the times reboot's I gotta disagree. Remake does not equal reboot. The GC version of RE is a remake while the new Tomb Raider is a reboot. The difference is that reboot has a whole new storyline and (usually) starts from the beginning but a remake mostly retains the original idea and material. |

Max Payne is a good adaptation film. Tekken is so just bad. Jin looks gay. Kazuya looks bad either. They're tryin' to make a romance connection between Jin, and Cristie. |

Max Payne wasn't exactly Max Payne, and it didn't capture the feel of the games...but did a better job than Tekken...and infinitely better than RE/MKA |

| Here's my take on live action videogame movies: Straight up shouldn't happen unless a really good director and some beyond decent actors are available. Unless that happens...
Should not happen.
Mortal Kombat was cool. Tomb Raider was nice. Tekken sucked. Max Payne was eh. RE shall not be mentioned so because it is terrible.
CGI is the way to go for videogame movies for me. Either that, or machinima. |
