So at least the way I see it is that no one cares if the soldier/spec op will come home safe . . . I absolutely disagree with this, people do care if SOF soldiers come back alive. I care, their fellow soldiers care, their families care. They aren't so easily replaced, otherwise there would be a lot more of them. They're trained to a higher degree to take on especially dangerous and politically sensitive operations (like the bin Laden raid which, if botched or otherwise unsuccessful, ran the risk of starting another war) and come out alive. It takes a special kind of person to be one of them. Most of their operations are so numerous and highly classified that the public will never know about them and if these individuals' roles were just to "die sooner", we wouldn't spend so much money training them to survive and the public would know a lot more. There is still patriotism in this world, it just gets obscured by and confused with nationalism by some people. As far as the whole "gas, oil and land" stuff, I've no desire to start a big political debate because politics turn friends into enemies. |

As far as the whole "gas, oil and land" stuff, I've no desire to start a big political debate because politics turn friends into enemies. I dont mean relatives and people, but fact is that Office never cares, otherwise why did 14 Georgian soldiers die in the country that has nothing (nor ever did) to do with us month ago? its simply cs government has a political interest in becoming a member of NATO, thats what i hate when political interest takes life of a soldier and there never where any wars or conflicts without political or religious base. just as Stalin said "one death is a tragedy, one million is a statistic". Yes people do care, but government doesn't and actually people start to care when its too late. As for final part, agree "put 2 men in a hole and they'll live peacefully, until they start discussing religion or politics" |

Afghanistan or another country? Are you Georgian, if you don't mind me asking? Your post implies so. - Quote :

What's wrong with joining NATO? It would certainly make Russia think twice before trying to thrash the Georgians around like they did in 08. |

Yes i am . . . and yes Afghanistan and now they are sending troops to Iraq in October. Absolutely nothing, ive even voted for that, but is a life of a soldier a price to pay 4 that? Especially against someone who never did anything with us. . . Yes they did, but did anyone care? ? ? |

Even I think it's time to leave Afghanistan to its fate now, since the US has done what it set out to do and got bin Laden. As for Iraq, I thought the only foreign troops that remained were US and acting in an advisory and training role rather than carrying out combat ops? If you like, we can further discuss this via PM so as to avoid clouding this thread up with further off topicness? I'm certainly interested in hearing about what's going on. - Quote :

I am truly sorry to hear of the tragic deaths of those soldiers, even more so if you knew any of them. My deepest condolences to their families. Believe me, I'd be just as happy as any pacifist if we had no need for war and violence. |

In the case of fighters I'd like to say that the character in question will be your own main. |

| I'm a Flash player. I'd argue that he is the most powerful character in the game. So yeah. Fuck. |

You mean you like to flash people. Injustice is DC. I thought you were a Marvel guy? Spiderman, X-men, etc. - ZombiePrincess wrote:

I remember being pretty good with Catwoman in that game. |

I remember being pretty good with Catwoman in that game. Daniel (my fiance), gets so pissed when I use Catwoman because it's the one character he hasn't been able to beat me as. Fuck yeah for the power of Selena Kyle. |
