| Rather than Jake's?
I know it's something rather silly and petty to point out, but I didn't quite understand why Jake was considered the main character in the campaign rather than Sherry who is reoccurring member and knows more about what's going on. I felt like during the whole campaign it was more Sherry's than Jake's. Once again, I know it doesn't really manner since you can play as either but I just felt like it would have been more fitting if the campaigns were; Leon, Chris, Sherry, Ada.
Did anyone else think or feel this way? |

| The main reason Jake is main protagonist is because he's Albert Wesker's son and is obviously going to be back in later games. |

I acknowledge the fact there's a good possibility of him returning, but at the time he's still a new character. Sherry was a reoccurring character like both Leon and Chris, who knew more about the situation than Jake. I just think it would have made more sense for it to be her campaign. |

Did anyone else think or feel this way? I know the campaign's Jake's but still, I considered it to be Sherry's. Sherry deserved it, and IMO she was a better character than Jake. Enjoyed seeing her in the game rather than Jake. |

| I dunno, it seems to their campaign…
I played Jake first, then Sherry, it seems like the same campaign to me.
I played Helena before Leon, but it felt like both of their stories as much as it was for one or the other.
Chris' campaign does feel like it's more for Chris than it is for Piers. It's certainly more Chris centered. |

That's mostly because Chris is the one dealing with PTSD and anger while Piers is there for moral support and keeping Chris on the right track. Plus Chris is the one giving the orders. |

| It was "Sherry's" campaign to me too. It kinda felt like Jake was just this "civillian" That Sherry had to protect until the end. To make it short his role's like Ashley. "BUT!!" He fights and can handle himself.. Hahaha Though he is obviously more important than Ash cause he's Wesker's son. |

| Meh, I don't really care what they call it as long as I can get my gameplay. - RaviorStygian wrote:

| Resident Evil Revelations: Jill, Resident Evil Code Veronica: Claire, Resident Evil 3: Jill, Resident Evil 0: Rebecca… what are you talking about? |

| Ada hasn't really been the lead character in any of the games. She has starred in unlockable campaigns but she has not been the main character. |

And all of those games were a while ago weren't they (sans Revelations)? As for Revelations, I haven't played it yet and I keep forgetting that it's canon. |

Sherry had more of the leader and hero persona. I'm not denying Jake had a very important role as well, but I felt Sherry shined brighter than him. - Nobudy wrote:

This was the first thought that came to my mind, till I really looked back at the older games and...; - Mercy wrote:

..Yeah. Resident Evil did have their fair share of female leads but perhaps this time they wanted to have three of the main campaigns to be for the males? This is just an assumption of course, but perhaps where RE has went into a more action-type direction, maybe they want it to appeal to the male audience more? At least with the console games. |

| Mmmmm, I guess so. They felt kind of equally important to me. I mean Clearly both Jake and Sherry had a purpose, unlike Sheva, but I thought they were a good team anyway. A good fit. Especially once I realized it was Wesker/Birkin's offspring, that really made that File for me. |

| I love the twist that Sherry is showing some perks of the G-virus. I enjoy the good side of it, instead of seeing a rampaging fiend looking for relatives to fill them with eggs XD. The fact that Jake is a non-infected Wesker that turns into a good guy is refreshing, even though he oddly fights the exact same way that his father did ;P |

You know, Jake actually does have a very similar fighting style. Definately like whipping out that hand-to-hand in Mercs though! I just hate when my stamina goes down. |

| If they also want to appeal a male audience, we need eye candy. |

Did anyone else think or feel this way? Sherry still was playable, so there wasnt much of a difference, yes she was more of a sidekick but well Jake was the main character of not only their story but the whole game, since he was the salvation against that virus. So turning character that has so much of an importance is i'd say unfair, I havent played his company though, im waiting for the PC relise so maybe Sherry is better played then he is and if thats what u mean then i dont know, but as for a character importance Jake is more important . . . . But thats just my opinion . . . |
