| Cyberote posted this in the tattoo thread. It was way too interesting to leave there so I decided it deserves a thread of it's own. Great find, dood. - Cyberote wrote:

Oh and speaking of Billy, I just found something on the wiki
"During The NYC 2011 Comic-con, a Capcom representative answered questions regarding his status and he responded: " Billy Coen is still in the Resident Evil universe; we do have plans but nothing concrete so we can't confirm or deny Billy Coen returning back to the franchise because anything is possible." http://www.relyonhorror.com/latest-news/resident-evil-news/rehorror-resident-evil-ny-comic-con-2011/ If that wasn't interesting enough, I found more from the link he provided: "Barry’s another character that hasn’t really been given his time to shine in his own standalone entry in the series. Capcom again couldn’t confirm or deny anything, going as far as saying how he’s part of the roster in Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D. But one of the game’s producers, Rey Jimenez, did promise that if Operation Raccoon City sold enough copies that he would push for a sequel to be made that will have Barry as a playable character. This, of course, got a roaring united sign of approval. And speaking of Operation Raccoon City, it was also revealed how each level could take around 45 minutes to complete."How about them apples? |

"Can't confirm or deny" is basically just a more fan-friendly way of saying "we have no plans at this time". |

| Well how about the Barry part? At least he mentioned a possible sequel. It's way more than I could've asked.
I'm well aware of the meaning of that sentence. |

It's possible that I could win Publisher's Clearing House tomorrow. It's possible that Atlantis could be discovered tomorrow. It's possible that aliens could invade the earth tomorrow. Possible =/= definite. - Quote :

You also used to have a link in your signature that you claimed was confirmation that RE6 is going to be a reboot when, in fact, said article never made any such claim. And your response when I pointed that out was something along the lines of "it's good enough for me". So while it may be good enough for you, I prefer something a bit more concrete than a glorified "we might do something like that one day". |

| You're such a pessimist. At least there are some news to report on. I was right on the GTA thing, I might as well try and keep guessing right Btw. What the hell is the "image not found" thing in between pretty much every post? |

Personally I don't see a "maybe we will someday" as anything worth clinging to. I'd be much more enthused if you came up with a credible source stating that a game featuring Barry is in development or other such proof, but until then it's all just worthless talk. - Quote :

A broken image link. Duh! No, but seriously, it seems to be one of the buttons in the footer of my posts. But all of those fields in my profile are blank, so I don't know what the deal is. |

| I wonder what a sequel to ORC would be like. Operation Rockfort Island? Operation Leon and Castile? Operation Kijuju? Or even better, a new story entirely. |

Yeah, especially if it's going to have Barry as a playable character. That'd be awesome, I've been waiting for a new Barry game since Gaiden. The short stories in the official comic series just don't cut it :/ @GL: I'll be posting all the new info here as it is eventually released. I still take a promise for pushing a game featuring a certain character as having more worth than a vague maybe. As for the info on Billy I can agree, as it is too damn vague to make anything of it. Still, it'd be nice to at least see him again. You know, that thingymajig is starting to get pretty annoying. It seems to follow my posts as well. |

| I'm not even sure what you are arguing about GL. I don't see anyone in here putting this info off as more than it is: Hope. |

| Billy Coen was an awesome character, although it'll be a difficult storyline if they put him in a game, since he became a fugitive he didn't keep fighting Umbrella like the others...but maybe since Capcom changed Leon story from an member of anti Umbrella group to a Goverment agent, anything can happen... |

| There are tons of ways to put him in a game. He could've been caught up in some new outbreak caused by black market BOWs, for example. OR he could stumble into Rebecca again. Small world.
You still have to remember Leon being in a anti-Umbrella group was presented in pretty much the only RE game with a story that can be deemed outright noncanon. |

| I don't think Leon was ever actually in an anti-Umbrella organization. |

Not in the actual canon but he was part of something like that in Gaiden. |

| Oh wow. I posted that and I didn't even know about that. How bout that teamwork, Mass? Lol.
But seriously, I would prefer they gave RE6 to Barry instead of just having him as a playable character in "ORC 2". I mean Barry was a playable character in RE5, but it was just some mercs stuff. I hope it's something like Separate Ways that gives Barry his own story. But like I said, I'd still rather him have a whole game. |

| Maybe it was left in as Gaiden was actually supposed to be canon and happening at the same time as Code: Veronica. |
