| Finally I found something that proves this! I'm so happy. The game has never actually contradicted anything but still, this was a neat find.
2002 -September The t-virus in the development laboratory of Umbrella's Paris branch is stolen.
The luxury cruise liner "Spencer Rain" owned by Umbrella is sea-jacked and turns into a stage of bioterrorism using the stolen virus. In order to raise funds for the revival of his company, Spencer secretly prepared a B.O.W. auction here. But in this terror, Umbrella loses many precious samples and customers.
This is from a Capcom book titled "Inside of Biohazard Darkside Chronicles" which includes a timeline ranging from 1960s to the event of RE5 in 2009.

| That's cool. I thought it was already officially canon. |

| The book isn't that new so you're right. It's just that I had not known of such printed publication existing. Until this point the canonicity of the game was always debatable as it had not been previously mentioned in anything official.

| Directly from Capcom? Nice. Also, I just recently visited a comic book/video game store near me. It's heaven in there! I saw Dead Aim, Code Veronica X for Dreamcast, some Outbreaks and other RE games. I also saw the first 2 golden Zelda games, Super Mario RPG ($40! I almost got it), Mortal Kombat 1 for Genesis...all sorts of goodies! It was epic. |

I have a store like that. It's called Infinite Lives. |

I thought so too because as you said, it doesn't contradict anything. But now it's official! Yay! Too bad the book is Japan only I also like how they gave a month to set the game in as I don't remember it ever being mentioned in game. |
