Me and a friend played RE5 in co-op, and i chose to be her, i like her i think as much as i do Jill and Claire.
Even now, if i do play alone or play mercs, i choose sheva!
As a character in the plot, there's nothing wrong with her, i hope she does make an apperance in RE6 one way or another.

I'm hoping she appears in RE6. It will make her character more relevant in future RE5 playthroughs if she actually shows up again as a major character in later games, rather than just being a one time character.

Like I said previously, she may be in the 5th announced campaign, her code was found in the demo.

Sure it may be canon, but it's not like he was really known by anyone at all before RE6 was announced.

I mean if you read the manga and you're really jazzed about Piers being in a game then cool, but the general public doesn't care of his existence before RE6.

Yeah and I think that's really shameful, cause there are tons of characters they have that fans still care about.

Though I think it's safe to say everyone who watched Degeneration hates Angela.

I do wonder why they keep coming up with these new characters all the time when they already have dozens of characters who have only appeared once.

Exactly, I think it would be harder to come up with a new character with a good backstory when other characters have very colorful back stories. Like Jake? He decided to become a mercenary to support his mom? That's so lame... So... Very... Lame.

Well I don't know, everyone just likes the movie because it's not directed by Anderson and its technically canon. I guess I should have said "no one cares about her" rather than "everyone hates her."

Capcom adding waves after waves of new characters and using them only in one game is a pretty bad decision. I know they are trying to make the game more interesting by adding new characters but its just going to 1) piss off the old payers who prefer the original characters and 2) the new players who really loved the new characters but only to have them disappear forever.

What I think they should have done is to make the player connect/resonate/live in the character's shoes and really make them think that they themselves are fighting the monsters and living the storyline. That way every time a new game comes out we will think wow what adventure am I gonna experience today not what adventure Chris or Leon is gonna experience today. And also we can't get bored with ourselves....or can we? :S

Maybe Sheva's code is in RE6 because she's in the Mercenaries game. She's so useless to the storyline of 5 I doubt she'd have a significant enough role to be put as a main character in 6.

I wouldn't say exactly "useless". She helped Chris navigate through Africa and helped him beat Wesker. What more could she have done?

Ofcourse not, she's not that useless. Sheva helped Chris A LOT. Mostly with taking herbs, no seriously. She's the one healed us most of the time everytime I played RE5.

The game forced co-op. It could have been done in single player.

I have never thought that co-op is forced. What makes you feel that way? I personally thought the parts with the doors and stuff where you need two people to accomplish is pretty fun. The co-op component of this game is nearly on par with mass effect which has AI co-op in its core.

I felt the co op was forced in several ways. In the dialog every character says the word "Partner" at least 50 fucking times throughout the game. Since it was a new feature in Resident Evil 5, they really had to exploit it, kind of like when Resident Evil 4 was exploiting the new idea of aiming an placing your shots properly.

Some actions you can't do without your partner could have been done alone; I hate the fact that you have to hold Wesker down, wait for your AI partner's brain to snap to work, then wait for it to administer the drug. Think about this for a second, you shot a rocket at Wesker, he's laying on the floor, can't you just administer the drug right then and there? Why do you have to hold Wesker down if he's already down? With the time Chris used to go around Wesker, and grab him from the back, he could have used administering the drug. That's only one example, they force co-op so hard just to get Gears of War sales numbers.

The gameplay wraps itself around your fucking partner, they make it way too easy, if you lose all your health don't worry! You have your partner to pick you up, ever low on ammo? Your partner can supply you! There's no challenge in the game, it's never scary, and it doesn't even try to be. The game could have been done perfectly with Sheva and made it single player.

And I hate waiting at doors. That's lame.
