worst re game

sorry if this topic has been covered many times.anyway what do you think is the worst resident evil game not including the mobile/nitendo ds games.for me its suvivor 2.that game was awful.the first survivor game was better than it and both of the outbreaks which i think were crap were better than it.what is your worst re gamewere better than it was better than it

But I think you are in luck as there aren't any quite like this.

I think that Gaiden is by far the worst, and I bet Charlie would agree.

The plot, setting, characters and all were cool, I really liked that, but the gameplay was so bad that it is difficult to get over that stuff and enjoy the good parts....

I did like it's opening theme, which is basically an 8-bit rip-off of the Exorcist Tubular Bells theme.

The worst game in my opinion is CVX. The main character was very shallow and had the worst voice actress of all time. The only voice that was worse than Claire's was Wesker's. Richard Waugh just did a piss poor job. Thankfully, D.C. Douglas saved Wesker from that madness. The whole story for the game was just plain bland. The voice for Steve really picked the game up in my opinion, but it wasn't enough to save it. Also, the gameplay was just god awful. Resident Evil was definitely never meant to have those crappy camera angles and super CLUNKY controls! Over the shoulder cams is where it's at. The amount of good solid puzzles makes it even worse. I don't play video games to think people! The only thing I should have to rely on is my reflexes! As for the best game...RE: Degeneration for the Ngage. Superbly done. No other RE comes close.

many people here already know the one I hate...yes the first Outbreak...the main reason why i don't like it is because of the HORRIBLE AI...i don't really have a problem with the second one as it was greatly enhanced

I think "colossal" is a better word. The fact is that they took a game franchise that was never centered around shooting in the first place and turned it into a shooter.

I like to think that RE was centred around shooting...after all your not going to escape a horde of zombies by taking them down the pub, getting the pissed and hoping that they don't fancy you for a snack or escape the tyrant by reasoning with the big fella....

At least that's the way i always saw them, great storylines to follow and get drawn in with, fantastic weapons to do my destruction and save people and annoying pain in the ass and often pointless puzzles......like a police station is gonna have puzzles ha ha ha.

Anyhow worst RE game for me...........Gun Survivour 1...i even brought the crappy lightgun to go with it...played it and promptly cried at how awful it was.

It emphasized avoiding combat where ever possible. It took strategy and intelligence to complete.

All you needed in RE4 was a quick trigger finger

No, not wrong. This thread is about our opinions as to which RE game is the worst. RE4 is the worst in the franchise to me because it took everything that it was and changed it completely by turning it into an action shooter.

The puzzles in every single RE game are WAYYYYYYYYYY to easy to complete, they never taxed my mind and i always solved them first time off....if they bring that element back then they need to make them mega challenging...like mensa stylee ha ha ha ha ha

Well RE4 is officially a Survivor/Horror game, not a shooter...

I don't know about you, but when I played RE4 I didn't feel like it was a shooting game, I felt like it was an RE game, with more shooting. There has always been plenty of emphasis on the guns, it seems like now we are encouraged to fight the enemies, rather than avoid them, but previously it was just avoid them when possible.

Some of the puzzles were really obscure, and didn't even make any sense, but most were good, and that is what people tend to remember.

@Riot, RPD may not seem like a place with a bunch of puzzles, but keep in mind it was an art museum before.

Ok, i played re survior and thought, its creepy, basic, kinda ok. I wasnt hugging the game at all, it was average. Then i said to myself, i cant wait for re outbreak. So i bought it. Then i started playing. Then i went HOLY SHIT, the graphics are cool, then i said, the load time after opening a door is TERRIBLE. Then the movement and pace and whiny ass charactors made me come to this conclusion, RE OUTBREAK IS LIKE METALLICAS ALBUM ST.ANGER, THEY BOTH LOOK GREAT, HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL, BUT THEY SUCK DONKEY BALLS!

The save system for the first one was pretty bad, not too much to say about that, but considering that the game has scenarios which are usually able to be completed in about 30 minutes to an hour, I think that Capcom probably thought that we didn't need them as much...
