ReMake glitched/bugged??

Hello! I'm a new user and i was wondering if any bugged or glitched versions of Resident Evil for the Gamecube were ever sold.

I recently started a game will Jill. I saved it before i went to the Aqua Ring. I used the key, went down to the control room and got killed by the shark.

So, i reloaded and the game seems glitched. Now, whenever i enter the Aqua Ring and attempt to run away from the oncoming shark to make it too the control room, she runs about an inch, stops and turns around for no reason. So, i turn back and try and run again and it happens again. It makes the scene impossible as the shark just kills me.

So, i gave up and a few days later, started a new game with Chris, i got further and saved in the underground section (behind the waterfall). I continued on and made it to the chapel and got killed.

So, i reload and back underground, i come too the section where Chris has to out-run a boulder. But again, the same problem happens! He runs two steps, stops dead in his tracks and turns around getting crushed by the boulder in the process.

Now, my pad is NOT faulty as i am playing Zelda:Wind Waker and it only happens in certain places. It only happens when death is certain. Running around a mansion? Fine. Chased by a shark or a boulder? Problems!

I did Google too see if anyone else has had any such a issues and got no results. Anyone else had this problem??

I think someone's become the Bad Luck Brian of REmake. I think it's a game issue.

I thought it was bad luck when it happened the first time. But twice in two days? What are the chances?

Have you checked the disc for scratches and stains?

Zero stains and very light marks. Nothing you think would cause problems... :/

Hmm... I would try it on a different console, if possible, just to make sure if it's a problem with the game itself.

I don't know anyone with a GC... I guess i might buy another copy. Its not an expensive game. Just a strange thing too happen.

Not expensive? Where on earth do you live? Cheapsville?

Yeah, it's been umpteen years since REmake came out, so it's unlikely to be expensive unless you have to go through the black market for games, consoles, and accessories. Hard to find, maybe (the two GameStops I shop at don't even carry GameCube and Xbox games anymore), but not expensive.

Maybe I just live in a wrong part of the world... Stupid Finnish game sellers thinking anything released five or more years ago is worth everything on you.

The UK! Goes for about £5-£8 on E-Bay.

I hate my life.

It will be a while before i get another copy though but i wanna finish the game! I may try and do it without dying/saving...

Have you seen how much a new copy is? You better hope you find a used one in good condition. Mine alone cost me 15 dollars. Not sure how it'll translate into Euros.

Any copy i buy will be used. Its a gamble on the state of the discs though...

Is it possible that the screen is changing and throwing your controls off? With those tank controls in RE sometimes the changing of the camera can have strange effects on the controls.

Nah. The "run from the boulder" starts on a static screen. He takes two steps and just turns around! Even if you try walking with just the stick or the D pad, its the same results.

Oh, the horror of those random camera angles in RE6... They killed me more often than the enemies.

Like when? You always press Up to go forward, no matter the Camera Angle.

Nope. I'm nowhere near it. It's like the Game cube is punishing me for dying...

Like when? You always press Up to go forward, no matter the Camera Angle.

If you are used to them when the screen changes it can be easy to push the joystick elsewhere to compensate when it really isn't needed.
