Donations? Alms? Money?

I don't know why, but ever since I joined this forum I've noticed that little "Donate" button. Sometime I see it, sometimes I ignore it, but for whatever reason I looked at it today. It said "Monthly Goal: $100"

Did it say that before? Since when…? Why does the forum… why would any free forum have a monthly goal of $100? Has anyone ever questioned this? What's the purpose?

Yes. I hate that thing. Down and I struggle back and forth putting it up and taking it down. But it is his forum and he wants to try to make a bit of money. So I must let it stay. The monthly goal is new.

I haven't got any money to donate. But even if I did, it'd be going toward paid features on my own board.

At any rate, the money; if anyone ever donated ever, doesn't goes to the forum. It should be taken Down.

Again, ask what you're donation to. If you're funding the forum, fair enough; but anyone can start a forum for free, it doesn't cost anyone anything. But if you're just putting money in Down's pocket, ask: why?

Maybe because Down made this forum, and the forum has given her great memories, and she's grateful? I don't know.
