| Widgets are a useful tool around forums, some widgets like recent topics, quick log in, and profile could be useful and easy to navigate. Is it possible to add some? |

Are you an admin? Or just pretending to be? How can you not know how phpBB forums work, let alone the applications for it? Widgets would really help navigation around the forums. |

I could tell you, or I could show you...nah, I don't feel like it. To be honest, this forum could use some things to pretty it up. Admin Panel>Tab Modules>Forum Widgets> Display Forum Widgets: Yes From here you can add many usual tools to help around the forum by dragging boxes from the bottom to the left or right side of the forums. "Login widget" allows you to login from the home page without having to click the "Login Button" on the top tabs. "Recent Topics" has a scroll of topics that have all the latest posts. You can adjust the scroll speed and how many topics scroll up or down. "Top Posters" show all the most active posters of all time. Who doesn't fight to be the top poster? You can even create your own widgets like displaying the member of the month with this code here: - Code:
-
<div align= "center"><a href=http://www.residentevilforums.net/u86><img src="http://residentevilnews.com/community/data/avatars/l/2/2231.jpg?1329793984"> <br /><b><font color="red">spike991</font></b></a></div><br />Description of member here.
You still want to blow my idea off? I gave you everything you need to know on how to do this, it's easy and it would make being on the forums easier instead of having to click on a tiny red box next to someone's name on the home page and hoping it's the same topic you were talking about. Also, why don't wee have a quick post option? Most forums have them. Do you need instructions on how to do that too? |

| Dude calm down. For one thing, you don't have to click the login option as if you are not logged in the home page already has the boxes for your username and password. Another thing, you can already view the top posters by clicking view top posters in the bottom right of the index page. As for recent topics, go into the sections to see for yourself what topics are going on. I'll look into some of your ideas though. Promise. |

| Eh, it's just a hassle cause I'm not use to these forums. I do know of the Top posters index and the View Your Last Posts thing, but I spend most of my time on the home page monitoring the recent posts and keeping the refresh button on my browser working a sweat.
I'm glad you took the time to listen, cause I don't think Spike was really considering, nor caring. |

Good job, Nite. |

| Ohhh. Check this shit out. I even managed to find out how to widen the entire forum so the widgets didn't shrink it down. All by myself! Thank you for bringing this stuff to my attention Mercy. I do so happen to like these new changes. I'll look into it in more depth later. But for now, I must rest. |

Yeah, you're welcome. I like what you've done, myself. Congrats on figuring that out too, it's fun to do those tweaks. I'm an admin on another forum so I just thought these forums could use a little more polish. |
