| ... yea. i thought that this might make an intresting topic. who do you think that is the most intresting serial killer and why? i choose jeffrey dahmer cuz how when he was little he was cutting up animals and that combinded with his gayness on humans when he grew up. and this guys appearance would make you never guess that he would be a demented murderer. real intresting guy. badass

| Ed Gein, because he inspired the Texas Chainaw Massacre Movie.
He was also a super effective killer because no one thought a feminine-childish man would go on a killing spree. |

It's not a movie or a video game |

Yes. I was making sure you understood what you were asking. Perhaps you could've titled the thread differently. 'Favourite' makes it sound like you might respect or even idolise whomever falls into the category of favourite and surely that is not the case. |

| I think he means the most interesting. Not like..."Which serial killer do you admire?" Though, you could have done without the "badass" remark. Also, hurting animals in childhood is something a vast majority of serial killers do. Along with bedwetting and fire starting. And to the one who said Ed Gein was a very efficient killer: All serial killers are. They are extremely adept at preying on humans. That's why they are called serial killers, and not just murderers. If they sucked at killing, they would either be caught or killed too soon to have a noticeable pattern which would label them a serial killer. Stating that, all serial killers are interesting to study. They tap into our instincts and fears. They could be anyone. You may know one right now. And if you say you would know if one was around you, you are either posting from Quanitco, or you know nothing about serial killers. Out of that list, I would choose Fish (creepy as all hell), Dahmer, and Manson. They interest me most.
I would add a few to the list though. Edmund Kemper, Leonard Kuklinski, and Dennis Rader (BTK). |

Yeah, like BTK.He was supposedly abused as a child and a sexsomniac.Yet he was still respected in his church and as a police officer. All because he acted NORMAL... According to Ted Bundy, he killed 2 women because "pornography made him do it".I still don't get what he was thinking. Another person that should be on the list, Barry Pimpton. He killed 16 Vancouver women in a single month until police saw what he REALLY had in his shed.He had a history of being rude and sexist so it seemed plausible that he would do something like that. |

| Could somebody at least replace every use of "favorite" in this thread with "most interesting"? It would make the topic somewhat less disturbing. |

| Nite's post reminded me of this: http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/PsychoAnyway, I will pick one. Although none of the options. I'll go with Dexter. Also everyone on this thread should watch this: The Three Murderers Bake Cake - Ghost Leader wrote:

| Jack the Ripper wasn't caught either. But he had the advantage of being the first known serial killer. Kind of threw the western world for a loop. |

Wasn't William Burke way before Jack's time? If I remember correctly Burke was killing peasants since the 1600's for medical institutions, and the Ripper was at his peak in the 1800's. |
