Mercs Character Ideas For Next Resident Evil

Subject: Mercs Character Ideas For Next Resident Evil Tue May 31, 2011 9:01 pm

While playing Mercenaries the other day, it got me wondering what new characters they would add for the next Mercenaries (C'mon, we all know Re6 will see the light of day, and obviously it'll have Mercenaries or an equivalent).

So, any ideas?

Like characters from past games? Or are you wanting us to come up with completely new characters?

All the main characters please. Especially Carlos.

Definitely Carlos.What about Nikolai,Krauser,Alice,Josh,Billy,Rebecca,Steve,and Barry?They were all beast ass.Especially Barry,because of his awesome quotes.

id especially like to see nicholai and carlos, but it would probably backfire on me because id play with a friend whos RE catalog consists of 5 and 6, so he'd be like "who the hell is carlos? who the hell is this nicholai guy, he looks like a fag!" and i dont think i can deal with the facepalms lol

Wow,you should let him borrow 1-3 atleast,so he could catch up.

lol unfortunately i dont own any of the old ones, id played them all and as soon as i saw them in the PSN store, i bought them all, so ill have to gameshare them to him lol

Oh OK.And back on subject,one of my friends said RE needed a "G" character.LOL.Maybe Carl Johnson could make a debut on RE.

We don't need Alice in any RE games, thank you. As for who they add to RE6 Mercs, I could care less as long as Leon and Billy, the two most overrated characters in the franchise, aren't in it.

Agreed, no Alice, thank you very much. She would just ruin the game for me.

He's overrated for most of the same reasons that Leon is, but at least Leon has the advantage of being relevant to the plot.

He only needs one game because he's has absolutely zilch to do with the overall plot of the franchise as it stands right now. His presence in RE0 was chance, which stands in contrast to STARS who were lured in to do battle with BOWs. Had his transport been 60 seconds ahead of or behind schedule on its way through the Arklay Mountains, the trip would likely have been uneventful and ended with a noose and a 6 foot drop instead of a fight against a giant leechy thing. He was nothing but an unlucky passerby. And besides that, he was tried and convicted of 23 counts of murder. Three of the four primary protagonists of the franchise (Chris, Jill, and Leon) are federal agents whose job it would be to arrest him and turn him over to the military. If it got out that Rebecca allowed him to escape, she would be locked up.

i know about the federal thing and i was thinking maybe why rebecca disappeared is because she had gone to find billy...

anyway the timeline events are really confusing, you are right about the passerby thing, but it all might have happened... just need a little fix on the timeline

What about the timeline is confusing? I'm not disputing the timeline, I'm disputing Billy's relevancy to the franchise plot.
