| Does Martin currently have a mod going on ? I'v seen his videos but I didn't know he was developing a mod, I thought all his videos where just test to see if Resident evil 1.5 could be re-created. Another question I never asked and I know you will know a little info on this since you are member at Z4, what ever happened to Dark Biohazard, is that still in shadows or has that been abandoned ? |

What he's doing is re-creating the rooms so that everyone can roam around them so at least we have something 1.5 related to run around, he has plans to release them when he will though I haven't a clue since he's still working on a few of the rooms. Now Dark Biohazard....the bad news is afaik its being abandoned and the reason why is because the z4 community have pretty much all the tools he had so we can now make our own rooms, import our own renders, create our own characters at the time he(Dominion) was the only person to do all that then Z4 working as a community re-created all his tools and because we gained the knowledge he did he got bitter and quit working on DB(That's one theory) its a shame because I was looking forward to it back in the day anyway. |

I see, kind of like an alternative version playthrough of Resident evil 2 ? I think this will be nice, I would love to have the illusion of playing 1.5, even it is just room renders. I did hear somewhere that he was the kind of person to go bitter, I also heard (long time ago) that he was trying to keep some of the breakthrough stuff secret from his team and that's pretty harsh, a team needs to work together in order to produce results. Man that's kind of screwed, so what if other people could do what he could, he should share his tips and tricks in order to build a stronger community and maybe get more helpers. His mod would have turned out how he wanted it to and others would make there own mods, what the big problem there lol. Shame and a waste because some of the stuff they produced look really amazing and had us really on edge, praying for it to come out. Now distant memories has me like that because it looks great and I have faith in you all because of the team you have. Just remember to keep working together |

| You will have no worries team work wise our end since we work efficiently as a team and yes it is an alternate version of RE2 just with a bunch of 1.5 rooms to walk about/shoot things/investigate it might not be the real thing but anything is better than just waiting. I know what you mean he had a potentially good mod but kept it all away from the people he was working with in industry you don't do that and working in a mod is no exception, it reminds me of the sonic 2 HD project some fans were working on and how the programmer made the engine so high spec, kept it all away from the other team members and when a new version got released it gave everyone who installed it a virus and not only that but he coded it in a way that when anyone tried to hack or mod the game it broke the engine meaning it had to be re-installed =/ what kind of person would do that? Anywayyyy >.< on topic here is some of my oldish work(Click for bigger images): I'm still working on metal gear rex so its not finished even if it looks it =P |

| An old drawing I did from last year of Buffy Summers from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" The right eye is kinda messed up. I guess I never went back and fixed it Come to think of it, I can see a couple things that I did that I wouldn't do now....I guess my drawing style has changed |

| DXP have you ever tried doing a render that looks like REmake or do you know how to ? I would love to see you try and do one in REmake style. Reason I was asking because I'v always wanted to see some rooms from RE2 done into something like REmakes graphics, would be pretty cool. |

| I take it the REmake style of rendering is just the same as the old way but has different shading methods ? I was also wondering is the polygon models more detailed in REmake ? I'm assuming they are due to the hardware at the time being a more updated than back in 1998. |

Its more or less the same thing if i'm right (i'm speculating at this point) I can see some normal mapping on a few textures but it could be that capcom modeled all that detail in since they used to do that in the old games. They are very much more detailed than the old games and as you pointed out it has to do with hardware limitations back in 96+ Capcom used an old set of computers known as 02 each workstation was used at the time for high performance rendering of 3d assets however back then each render would take 2 weeks to render whether that is just one angle or a entire room is unknown, glad we aren't like that in this day and age >.< |

Scrapping the first draft of Resident Evil 2 must have been a painful decision. Now a days even a basic home computer will knock out a render in 4 hours or so. We are very lucky in today's world |
