| Not sure if you guys heard this or not, but Keiji Inafune has officially resigned from Capcom. This is old news, but I just now thought to let you all know. He is responsible for the overhaul of RE. Lately he was saying how much he hated his job so it was only a matter of time before he quit. Just FYI. Here's the story: http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/8024.html |

I don't know about the reboot. He was responsible for the changes from the old style to the new RE4/RE5 style. |

It might mean RE could be going back to its roots like LIN style which i would love tbh.Jamesy is getting an erection thinking about it no doubt about it. |

| lol. I don't know. It looks like Capcom is letting Westerners make their games, so I'm sure you can expect much more shooting than even RE5 had... |

| I'm still thinking that game series development transferred to westerners isn't necessarily a bad thing. They did good with Silent Hill: Homecoming and Siren: Blood Curse. If the article in the other thread is correct we might even get a new Outbreak. |

| It is a fact that Western developers love to have us shoot, blow crap up, and take cover. I expect this new RE to have an excess of all of this. |

| Homecoming and Blood Curse had little to nothing to do with actual shooting and action. They relied more on the horror effect and sparse ammunition, having you use anything from a broom to a sledgehammer. I think that at least on Silent Hill's case the change to a western developer was a good thing since it felt more like the older SHs. Only grief there was that Akira Yamaoka didn't do the soundtrack... |

Maybe this is a bit predictable of me but that actually sounds fun for an RE game. |

Maybe this is a bit predictable of me but that actually sounds fun for an RE game. Obviously. Look at your avatar and sig. It doesn't sound fun, OR like RE. |

| I think that a reboot was necessary for the series to continue on. I appreciate whatever contributions he had to RE4. I felt that in 2005 it was time to really move beyond the pre-rendered background in survival horror. I also think that the cult-imagery and the intenseness of dealing with a smarter enemy that was just as murderous as the T-zombies that used team logic to battle the player really helped to create a consistent thrill as the player was on the movie.
However, I feel that RE5 took it way too far. Instead of being scary, RE5 more or less felt to me like a mix of 28 days later and Metal Gear Solid 4. The scare wasn't there and the enemies were pushovers to the bigger and badder weapons. In the words of Darth Vader the game felt, "All too easy." |

I still hate RE5 on Pro. Everything being a one hit kill just destroys the game for me. |

And I know what you mean, I can headshot everything that moves with a handgun but pro is ridiculous. The first time I tried it I thought the game was broken when the first enemy killed me. |
