| What kind of gameplay did you like the most? The fixed cameras or the over-the-shoulder?
I grew up on Resident evil 1 and zero(for gamecube), and got used to those. I thought it was more survival horror with the limited view and survival where every enemy didn't just happen to have a box of 9mm rounds on him. To me 4 and 5 seem to have lost what made resident evil, resident evil. Like they are trying to drag a story further than they should(how many times do I have to kill Wesker?) and made it more palatable for the average gamer to be more popular. |

| if you ask me I like the older style gameplay...it makes it feel more scary and more like RE...I do like the newer style too but my vote goes to older |

| I think both work very well and that they all keep up with what RE is. Some people say RE4 & RE5 lost alot of what they were, but I think this is entirely wrong because Capcom didn't just pull RE4 out of their ass, you can take just about every single element in RE4, and relate it to something earlier in the series. RE4 really compiles alot of elements, you just have to look, and indeed use your head. RE4 & even RE5 to some extent have become overpopular, and ushered in alot of new fans, so in that way they get more credit than they deserve. At the same time, they are both great and are overlooked by people who either haven't looked hard enough, are too stupid to come up with their own opinions and just use what they hear on youtube, or a forum, or a game review, or sometimes a little of both. At this point RE4's overpopularity has died down, and the people who were enfatuated with that one game(and refused to play anything else from the series) have moved on, and the ones that were interested in the series from there are among us still. |

| I actually like both of them but I picked the 3rd person style cos I felt like it (and maybe cos I've been playing Silent Hill 5 for two days).
I also liked the first person styled games (Survivor & Dead Aim) and the RPG-ish style in Gaiden.
The only style I haven't tried is the railshooters on the Wii (don't have one). |

| I would enjoy an over the shoulder rezi game but if it was slowed down, like in the dark with one zombie hiding in the corner of the room, so when you shine your torch on the zombie its comes after you! lol random. so basicly an over the shoulder, realy scary horror classic rezi game with normal zombies! or (zombies that are a bit quicker than normal ones) but no majini etc.

| I have played Silent Hill Homecoming as well. Never completed the game becasue it was so hard.
Oh yeah and I would say I prefer the older style of RE gameplay. |
