| So if there were zombies in the older games....but in the newer ones there are like ganados and they are called Los Plagas 1 and 2.So......What are the zombies? Are they just mere Mutated beasts?Because the older games all lead up to the story in RE5.So i wonder what are they? |

| The zombies were an accident, useless as bioweapons. Gannados & Majini are infected with a parasite, much like Nemesis. T usually depletes the hosts intelligence, while a parasite actually controls the host, basically making them intelligent, which is why Gannados or Majini, like Nemesis or TALOS, were able to use weapons like crossbows or AK47's. |

Yeah you could say that, as they both produce very lethal enemies. T alone is very deadly and capable of being spread at amazing rates, but a parasite such as NE-Alpha or Las Plagas cannot, but they can simply make the host that much more deadly. Although Nemesis infected Jill, it was obviously a bit different, and he didn't infect her with a parasite... |

| The Zombies in the Resident Evil Series are Under the Genra of TechnoZombies. Techno Zombies are created via a form of technology, where as the Romero Zombies are created via some natural virus. |

That is true, as there were many steps before it was actually the T-virus. |

| T-virus and Las Plagas are unrelated to eachother. The zombies in the first games were side effects of an accidental break out of the t-virus. Umbrella was trying to create viral weaponry and bio weapons such as the Nemesis. Las Plagas neither kills its host nor re animates it, which are two major traits of the tvirus. |

Then i wonder how they are connected maybe one guy just said hey lets make something new? They aren't connected at all. The plagas weren't even rediscovered until after the T-Virus was made. The guys at Capcom created Las Plagas seperately from the T-Virus. They went in a new direction with plagas because they wanted to. |

So basically after the zombies were ended someone decided to make the los plagas? Edit: Please refrain from double posting. If you have something to add use the edit function. |

| In the game world, the people dealing with Las Plagas didn't even have the T-Virus on their minds. In the real world (real life) Capcom just wanted to progress the story and created the Las Plagas. The zombie outbreak was an accident, so it's logical that after it was taken care of, there would be no more zombies unless another accident occurred. |
