I do know what kinds of weapons and gear Russian troops use, but that's kind of irrelevant here because I was never talking about what they use.
I was,because....."I WANT THE RUSSIAN TROOPS TO HAVE THE RIGHT WEAPONS IN THE GAME,BECAUSE CALL OF DUTY MODERN WARFARE 2 WILL BE THE MOST REALISTIC GAME AND I WANT THE GAME TO BE THE MOST REALISTIC WITH EVERYONE WITH HIS OWN WEAPONS,ALSO I WANT AK74 AND AK74S ADDED,THEIR QUITE SAME BUT I WANT THEM BECAUSE THATS WHAT THEY USE,SO THEY MUST ADD THOSE WEAPONS OR GO TO HELL,OH YEAH AND I DONT WANT THE M16 IN THE GAME BECAUSE ITS AN HORRIBLE CAPITALIST WEAPON"
reminds me someone...but cant pick a name.

Thank you mr.teacher!now my life is complete.
but hey lets speaCk about how much the m4 is amazing...

Ghost Leader wrote:

I fail to see what you're trying to say, because your english is so terrible.
You fail about many things...

Ghost Leader wrote:

I was never discussing civilian use in the first place. Civilians can get whatever they want because they don't put their lives in the chambers of the firearms they use, unlike military personnel. I'm talking about the Desert Eagle's inadequacy as a combat handgun, nothing more.
Yeah, sure, then you call it a "horrid monstrosity".

Ghost Leader wrote:

I doubt you'll believe me, but I knew what the US Army's budget was long before I even joined this forum.
You know what?I believe you,I even believe thats one of the first thing you learned when you were born.

Ghost Leader wrote:

Yet they despise the Desert Eagle because it's a horrid monstrosity.
As i said, everyone got their own taste, even if the tastes of some people doesnt worth the same...

Ghost Leader wrote:

You're avoiding the topic. Show me proof of a military organization using the Desert Eagle compared to the several I've already listed as using M4s.
Ok here we go:Rainbow Six team,DOOM marines Squad,Farcry 2 Guerilla,SAS team of CS:s and many many more...
I would like to add special guest star:The agents smith Cool .
(you never said a REAL military organization, and by the way,for someone with your "skills" about the warfare and weaponry, its strange you dont know who uses the Desert Eagle and have to ask me).

If realism played no part in CoD4, they'd all be using phased 40wt plasma guns.
Hey thats not far from the laser pistol in COD5.

Ok,heres the Owl Version(means your able to see the dots of the ironsight at night)

Ill get you more screens later, deal with that for the moment.

Then why did you quote it? Rolling Eyes
Because the quote quote quote quote....QUODEC!
(yeah sad if you didnt got this one)

Ghost Leader wrote:

Uh, no, CoD4 is not nearly as unrealistic as you claim.
and CoD4 is not nearly as realistic as you claim to have every armies with their own weapons.

I don't care if you like the Desert Eagle, I'm saying it's horribly inadequate for military use due to weight, recoil, reliability, etc.. You're the one trying to make it about civilian use.
And im not only saying that but also its not the "horrid monstrosity" your telling me about.

The Swiss Army is pathetically irrelevant.

Thats right.

No, actually the most used pistol in Hollywood is the Beretta 92F. I've heard this directly from movie armorers themselves.
Yeah, but the one who have the bigger renown is the Desert Eagle.

Ghost Leader wrote:

No, I never argued you liking the Desert Eagle, I'm arguing that it's unsuitable as a combat handgun.
Your arguing far more than this.

Ghost Leader wrote:

Yes, you did. Your exact words regarding it were "the model u want". I never said I wanted a Glock in CoD6, the pistols I want are the SIG P226 and FN Five-Seven. Now who needs to go back and reread?
Yeah i know you never said you want a glock in CODMW2(and not cod6),but I wrote
PublicEnemy wrote:

so you could even find peoples who wants the Glock(the model u want,i dont care)
I wrote this because if I would have written that:

The teacher mr.iknoweverythingbetterthaneveryone would have say:
Ghost Leader wrote:

In case you dont know it,the glock is the familly name of many models.
Or something like that,i wrote that because i didnt pick a specifical model of it,i said"the model u want" to say "whatever model u want".

yeah sure, tell me again its because of my awfull english, but ill tell you something:its strange you doesnt understand the basic english im speaking of when it seems im a bit right, and understand it when you can argue about something, and by the way its even more strange you doesnt understand a basic english like that(yeah its not so horrible),someone like you(who plays the teacher whenever he can,for everything)should understand it(well if your as intelligent as you say it).

Ghost Leader wrote:

Yes, I misread it. It's the result of your english being worse than the Desert Eagle as a combat pistol.
Wow....then if an "horrible" english make you doesnt see a single word(in a simple sentence you obviously understood) I wonder if you even know what we're really talking about...

Wow, that whole last post was worthless. If you can't argue your point anymore then you should just concede. And while your English is bad, which is not your fault, adding in stuff in parentheses all the time makes your posts hard as hell to read. Basically, you just killed a lot of credibility you may have possessed before your post. The "owl" thing was ridiculous, and was like you knew you were wrong.

Well, sorry if my humor isnt appreciated here, and if you want to get it serious,then...
I thought that debating with someone like "that" is just totally pointless, the WHOLE debate is worthless, because he thinks hes the king of the world and his opinion preveil on any other(except perhaps the US marines chief),
and you really think I care a bit of how much credibility I have on this topic,or on this forum?Come on,75% of the times people just go on this section(both Resident Evil discussion and Resident Evil related sections got less pages than "Off-topic") ,wich is the only one whos not related to RE,
(wich is funny when you think the forum is called "Resident Evil forums"),so yeah, goin off topic sometimes is not a bad thing, but EVEN in the RE related section its goin off-topic,and when someone dare to create something related a bit to RE you almost sue him,or go off-topic...

Then why go on forums if its not for talking or debate?
Yeah, first start talking a bit much about RE and we'll see,if I want to speak only about "how looks like your screenboard" or that much about a game like CODMW(wich is nothin compared to the Resident evil series)I'd go on the forum of Call of duty or elsewhere,I came here in the hope of discussing and debate about the amazing Re universe...

So yeah, just because someone doesnt agree with him on something like "this gun is horrible" the king goes on war and create a whole topic where him and me would just quote the sentences of the other all day long,I mean come on if he want to debate on how much his shitty marines are "awesome" or why the marines doesnt use the Desert Eagle,ok but then go debate it somewhere like MSN where it would take at most 40 minutes to do it,and not 3weeks.
Then you will tell me:why starting a debate then?well HE started it,he started the whole thing about "I want this and this but not this because it sucks"...and you know why I kept the debating?just because that would make him too happy to see hes right, but for now I really doesnt care about what such a little cockroach thinks.

And when you claim that the king is a "patriotic" scum,he just say "I dont see wherever i spoke about im patriotic or not" come on dude its just like I hear the American national anthem when I read you.
"Marines .......and the best....Marines......America.....USSOCOM......M4.......Marines....Iraq....."
Jeez!Be patriotic if you want but drop the marines thing(and related stuff) for a whole day, would you?
And yeah i know, the marines are in CODMW but ALONG with atleast 3 other factions, come on dude.

And Im really sorry if with my parentheses it makes things too hard for his little brain.

and yeah think whatever you want,im not "running out of arguments",jeez its like we're talking about a war between him and me,its just a stupid debate on the off-topic section on a RE forum like theres dozen(if not hundreds) of them on the internet...

and yeah,im not "running out of ammo"(sounds same eh?)
its just,as I already said, damn useless to debate with "something" like that, but as if it wasnt enough,he turns the debate on something I absolutely dont care:the marines and why they dont use the Desert Eagle,so yeah "GL",for your little brain Ill just resume what I wanted to point out:

THE DESERT EAGLE IS NOT AS AWFULL AS YOU SAY IT,I DONT CARE IF THE ARMIES DOESNT LIKE IT,ESPECIALLY THOSE ROASTBEEFS,I KNOW THAT THE DESERT EAGLE IS NOT THE PERFECT WEAPON,STILL IT CAN KILL SOMEONE WITH EASE LIKE ALL WEAPONS,THATS ALL*.(if it was as awfull as you say,it would be something that look likes a rotten and burnt corpse who got crushed by a steamroller).

And about your m4 shit,I dont care the marines and egyptians use it(yeah along with few mores),as I said in a sentence you misread twice, the soldiers doesnt count ONLY on their weapons ,then yeah I know in america when your at the training center, they teach you to almost fuck with your weapon, theres even a little book called "me and my rifle" where its written:"My weapon is my best friend, without my weapon im nothing and without me,my weapon is nothing..."or something like that.
Jeez dude, the USA isnt the world(and is far away from it).

And for Call of duty modern warfare 2,for the last time I say it dude,WAKE UP this game is a "mass product" wich means it have to please for the bigger number of people,
they wont spend that much time in details(weapon skins) and not-so-well-known weapons, means u wont have more than 45 weapons(I bet it will got less),the funniest is you didnt understand I would like to see a game like CODMW with thousands of weapons too,but not like you,Im more "down to earth" about this...

And at last ,for the "owl" thingy,I thought it was fun,it made me laugh and im not wrong, but still,
either if im wrong or not,for him I was wrong before I was born ,because Im not agreeing with something he said.

The most funny thing is he will consider it a "victory" because im insulting him and "acting like an ass",but yeah thats right dude,I like to act like that with you, because,as you guessed it,I dont really like you(and your kind of people in general).

So come on consider it a "victory",or whatever u want,I hope you will get your orgasm with ease.
But for you to know,I still think im right about the Desert Eagle*(what I said at the *) and yet you convinced me of nothin more than what I already knew about you.
Yet it would be fun to be called a foul who dont listen to the arguments of the others by someone who not even UNDERSTAND the views of the others,EVEN if was trying from now 5 posts to explain it,and no,the "bad english" has nothing to do with it.
Alors va te faire voir sac à foutre.

Ps:the entirely post is dedicated to "GL" Ghost Leader aka The king of the universe and keeper of the keys of the knowledge about every weapon.
"I truely wish you could be able to disappear like a ghost".

Whoah! Hey, hey, hey! Cool down P.E No need to go into rages against countries. The USMC is one of the most elite military forces in the world, and is nowhere near "shitty". Yes, I get defensive when it comes to my country as well, as I'm sure GL and everyone else here would too. Stay on topic! Aka, weapons discussion!

I just dont care anymore about the debate, but he's just so annoying with his "elite" force(wich is not one for me,but Ill just respect the fact some people think it is).

And for the weapons,I just already said what I had to say about it,in the last 2 pages and in the last post I made, but I still think im right,I knew from the start this debate wouldnt change anything for both sides,I wasnt even trying to convince him,I just kept the debate up to annoy him anywhere I could, thats all.

and after all they could not even be in the next CODMW...(and I dont care if they will)

P.E., if you can't take the heat, get outta the kitchen. You were having a debate. And it was a civil one until your last couple of posts there. GL was only making valid points and arguments. There's no reason to say you don't want to debate with "something like him". Like what? Someone who is passionate about weapons and realism? Someone who doesn't use insults at every turn like you have been? There was no excuse for going super saiyan on him like that, because he didn't do anything wrong. Debates get heated...get over it.

We should really just bring it down to basics. His point was that he likes games that authentically match real world forces and that the Desert Eagle is not suited for combat. Your point was that the Desert Eagle isn't as bad as he thinks. Do you think it is a good weapon for combat? If so, why?

Okay, time for good ol' Dura to inject a little humor. About 20 years ago when I was still living in Virginia, my father and I used to site his hunting rifles at one of his employee's farms. Anyways, we would typically site the rifles for 100 yards...pretty standard stuff. The owner of the farm, Mr. Leffle (a WW2 Ranger no less who went cliff climbing on D-Day) is a great old guy...very dry sense of humor. As I begin to assist my father in sighting the rifles, Mr. Leffle looks at me and says, "Jimbo, you see those cows down-pasture? Well, typically they're worth about $500 a head.....but, if you accidentally were to shoot one of them it'd be worth about $5,000." Laughing Well, I thought it was funny. Wink I'll admit I'm old school. My favorite weapons-related games are of the WW2 variety. I actually had an occasion to fire a M1 rifle...a defining moment for me...no kidding. In the real world I also prefer revolvers, and as GL pointed out revolvers are actually making a pretty strong comeback for some after about 20-odd years of taking a backseat in the world of military and law enforcement to the semi-auto pistol. One of my neighbors is a local police officer for the fine city of Indianapolis, and actually prefers using the new Ruger Alaskan to almost anything else. Jeez, you gotta love a weapon like the revolver that has been around for so long and is an entrenched icon since the folklore of the American West.

Hey, I have a cousin that's a police officer for Indianapolis. Anyway, I actually prefer revolvers too. I've never really shot any guns or anything but for some reason they fascinate me more than pistols with magazines. Maybe they just seem more powerful or something. You can always trust that I'll pick a revolver in a game over any other type of pistol. Just like RE 5...M500 all the way. I hate the L. Hawk.

I don't really know much about firearms, but I do own a Lee-Enfield MK 1 since '86 which I used to use for deer hunting. Really great rifle, and even when using the soft-point .303 rounds it's absolutely effective. It's a shame that I can't use it here. But when I'm finally back in Motherland... deers beware! Twisted Evil
And about revolvers, I've fired a few in the past... including the .44 Colt Anaconda, which in my humble opinion is the best revolver around santa

The Colts are exemplary...I purchased a Colt King Cobra in '87 that I still have (only because I didn't have the money to get the Anaconda...lol!) One of my pistols that I sold and look back on as one of the dumbest things I ever did was the S&W 629 Classic Hunter with the non-fluted cylinder. I got good money for it but I now wish I'd never done it. I guess the pride of my collection at this point is a handgun that my father presented to me from his own collection, a Ruger .357 Blackhawk single-action revolver that he purchased in the 1960's. Absolutely beautiful handgun...the only thing I did to it was have it refitted with a set of Hogue monogrips...to be honest the saddle grips that came with it made it very uncomfortable to shoot.

Well when they are being used by such characters as this, what can you expect right.Wink

None deadlier than Revolver Ocelot when he's got his two thundering six-guns...single actions to boot! Makes me wonder what he would've done to Snake had his arm not been sliced clean through by Gray Fox...looked to me like ol' Revolver was just getting warmed up. Wink

Believe it or not, Revolver Ocelot is one of the reasons for that. Same thing with Solid Snake using the Mark 23. It upped the popularity (gamer popularity, at least) of such weapons. I know I didn't even know the Mark 23 was a real weapon (same thing with the FAMAS) until after a couple of months of weapons research and the purchase of several books.

@duralumin, that is kind of funny as it is exactly what he said, "I'm just getting warmed up"

@Ghost Leader, you are right, they definately raised their popularity, as I really didn't care too much for revolvers until Shalashaska, but now I love them, and it has even made me appreciate Barry's .357 more.Smile

Barry's .357 is better than a machine gun that shoots nukes.

lol, just the idea of that gun got a laugh from me.Smile

Although this is sort of irrelevant, I just feel the need to say that while Ocelot's revolver got me into six-shooters, Gray Fox got me back into ninjas, cyborg ones:)
