| So I'm glad Heath Ledger is dead and I'll tell ya why! Jk.
Well apparently we dont already have this thread, so here we go.
I own and have beaten MGS1 original and Twin Snakes remake, MGS2: SoL and Substance, MGS3 Snake Eater and Subsistence, and I had started MGS4, but since I do not own a Ps4, I was unable to finish it.
I recently came across the MGS HD Collection and bought it on sight. It gave me another copy of MGS2 and MGS3 in HD, as well as a title I haven't played, Peace Walker, the PSP MGS title in HD. I started it, and its pretty great like I would expect an MGS title to be. I expect an awesome game! It takes place around the time of MGS3, so it's Big Boss.
Spike Jaeger-meister out. |

| I've only ever played Metal Gear Rising and a little bit of the original Metal Gear. Don't throw me off the cliff yet! I have more things to say!
Ahem... Despite my lack of experience with the series, I have watched a very comprehensive retrospective of the series ranging from the original all the way to MGS4. I also downloaded the MGS database from PS Store and plan on giving it a read some day. Whenever I get a Gamecube (and trust me, I will) I'm gonna get the remaked of MGS on it. That's literally the only reason for me to get the console aside from RE. I also have Metal Gear and Ghost Babel on my list of games I need to play. Depending on how much I like the original MG, I'll check out MG2 and Snake's Revenge.
Shit! I just learned there's a Legacy Collection! To buy or not to buy... |

| (Reads thread title) OOOOOOHHHHH BBOOOOYYYY.... MG1 and 2 (even though I never finished 'em), MGS 1 on Normal (even though when I went back, I messed up the profile after saving after going into the void glitch too early, therefore making the game unbeatable) MGS 2 how many times, MGS 3 (normal, both infinity face camo and stealth camo). Unfortunately, I did not get around to beating MGS:PW, and can't even play MGS4. |

| @PWNERX, I bet you played MG and MG2: Solid Snake because of MGS3: Subsistance, which includes MG's 1 and 2. Or my name is Emily, and it's not.
Sneaking in MGS is akin to Survival in RE.

@Mass. *shakes head* Actually, I had played the US MG once...different from the original, but yeah, MGS3S on 360. Otherwise, MGS3/2 on PS2 with PSone MGS...(ends rant) |

| Actually, there is something I have been meaning to tell you but I just couldn't.
But I think you should know though.
On Saturday morning last week I saw a guy leaving Rosemary's room...
How should I put it. It was like they were.... "intimate."
I'm sorry. Sorry to bring this up during the mission, but... |

Just FYI, Snake's Revenge wasn't made under Hideo Kojima's direction and is considered non-canon to the MG chronology. It plays nothing like Metal Gear and is action-oriented instead of being a stealth game. If you still want to play it, go right ahead, but don't expect any of the later games to have any story consistency with it. |

I know, I watched the whole retrospective on the games at Gametrailers a long time ago. The differences it has to the main series are what interest me the most. |

| Metal Gear Solid is probably one of the most fundemental series in gaming history and will always be praised high. I've never played a MGS title that lacked quality,Kojima really understand how to bring cinematic action and story telling to life. Even the smaller titles had a certain charm to them and older titles will forever remain timeless. This is the list of MGS titles I own and have completed countless times. Metal Gear (NES, never owned a MSX2 and plus the original Metal gear wasn't released in EU or NA) Metal Gear 2 : Solid Snake (SNES) Metal Gear Solid (PS1) Metal Gear Solid : Integral (PC, unfortunately broke the disk so only have a installed copy :/ ) Metal Gear Solid : VR Missions (loved how you could play grey fox in this ! ) Metal Gear Solid : Ghost Babel (GameBoy color, missing box but still have the cartridge) Metal Gear Solid : Digital Graphic novel (PSP) Metal Gear Solid : The Twin Snakes (Gamecube) Metal Gear Solid 2 : SOL (PS2, special edition with the making of documentary) Metal Gear Solid 2 : Substance Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater (PS2) Metal Gear Solid 3 : Subsistence (PS2) Metal Gear Solid : Portable ops (PSP, not a great title but still a little fun to play) Metal Gear Solid 4 : Guns of the patriots (PS3, whoah .... just whoah ! Really sad that MGS online is no more, wish they would bring the servers back online ) Metal Gear Rising (PS3, got a lot of hate but I still loved the game, felt like a watered down DMC) Metal Gear Ac!d (PSP, pretty sure I had it installed on my PSP GO as well) Metal Gear Ac!d (PSP, Pretty sure I had it installed on my PSP GO as well) *Titles that I need and will most likely get* Metal Gear Solid 2 (HD PS3 update) Metal Gear Solid 3 (HD PS3 update and 3D version for the 3DS) Metal Gear Solid : Peace Walker (HD for PS3 and SD version for PSP, had the demo installed on my PSP GO but never got around to buying the game) Metal Gear Rising (PC port, if it ever goes for cheap on a Steam Sale) |

| Metal Gear Solid is one of the greatest videogame franchises I've ever played. Unlike most other plots, this one actually seems to evolve and grow more intricate with each release. |
