I've only played it a couple of times but I can't understand how a lot of people saying its better than mercs. It's basically going room to room killing enemies. Gets boring really quick.

True. And some times you get lost with nowhere to go.

It has more variety than Mercenaries where you are just trying to rack up points in a given time. It has more of a survival aspect to it, I guess. I personally prefer it and... wait, how do you get lost? The levels are pretty straight forward. I've only gotten "lost" once because I forgot to pick up the key from a puzzle I solved.

I second that. I personally think nothing beats RE5 Mercs and Reunion as far as the amount of fun and replayability that it offers. Although Raid is pretty awesome for sure. Especially with the new characters and outfits. On my first run through the first stage I got a shit ton of rewards and Achievments, including the Trinity Bonus, and Rachel(whatever her last name is, RER's text is too small so I can't see her last name. I'm so so tired of Capcom making the text in their games smaller and smaller with each installment. Maybe if I pretend I have no problem reading it, they'll make it a more logically appropriate and visible size. I love the size of the text in modern RER games! Seriously Capcom I'm glad you are saving space on the screen, it's such a clever and productive use of the screen keep up the good work.) Oh, and Rachel made me lol when you start a level with her. BSAA Barbie. I personally find Rachel and Jessica hotter than RER Jill. Bring back Julia Voth.

Honestly, her ingame face is decent, but in the cutscenes it looks weird most of the time. BTW Jessica's constant smiling kind of creeped me out .

Idk, she just looks and sounds different. Not to where it bothers me that much, it's not DC Douglas or Sheva, but it still a bit off.
And Jessica Sherewat was ridiculous.
"So, Jill was it?"
"Was what, stay focused"
"I was just, you know, asking"
"Sorry to bring this up again, but do you trust me as much as Jill?"

They've made it harder in HD. From what I've played of it (just to check it out) they got rid of the checkpoint system where you can end anywhere. I think you have to go through the whole thing in one go and can't opt out early without retiring.
Actually everything in Raid mode is more challenging in the HD version. Everything in it just scaled differently to make for a more well-rounded experience.
Except for Airstrip. Worst thing about Revelations HD by far. Horrible level.
