Before that, her epilogue file in RE3 made it obvious (at least to me) that Ada Wong wasn't her real name. This is one of the reasons I took issue with a Chinese actress playing her in Retribution; you can look at her face in RE4 and RE6 and clearly see that she isn't Asian. Capcom obviously knows how to design Asian facial features (Fong-Ling, Yoko), so if Ada was Asian, her character model would reflect it.

Very interesting. I was unaware she had an epilogue in re3. I am playing through it now, but the last time I beat it was back in 2001 I think. I always just assumed it was not her name because what spy blurts out their name to everyone they meet!

Her last name is Chinese, but she clearly isn't. Her facial structure alone rules that out.

Ada might be of Asian descent, though. At least that's how I've always seen it.

I am always wondering how did Ada even survive getting mauled by a goddamn Tyrant. And it would be funny if they ever revealed her real name because even other characters only call her Ada. I could see it though, she saying her real name, but tossing it aside, because she was Ada for so long and she would remain so. Whatever.

I think that would be a good ending for Ada. I feel like her dying in the end of the series and revealing the true her to Leon in the process would be a fitting way to end her. I picture something along the lines of her and Leon being stranded in some form of T-virus outbreak and Ada gets infected. Of course Leon tries to help her to find a cure but fails too. As she is growing more and more sick she explains herself to Leon. I feel like this would be a proper ending for the Leon/Ada story and possible help fuel something new. Let's face it, the same meeting between Leon and Ada in each evenly numbered game is getting old.

Leon and Ada have been in touch behind the scenes though and have possibly spent a night together, at least according to Damnation.

Funny thing is, they planned on ending Ada's story after RE2 with her deciding to give up the spy business and possibly pursuing a life with Leon.

I think it would be a very emotionally filled story if Ada began to go that route, but tragically did not make it out alive. If they intend to keep milking Leon, this could add layers to his character.

I wish they had. The whole 15 year old Cat and Mouse game is pretty annoying now.

I'm still hoping they'd translate that, now non-canon, part of the story. And by "they" I mean fans since Capcom has propably already forgotten that little sound drama from the past.

Well if that's the case, then *SPOILER* Claire, while holding up the person who started the Florida contamination, is disarmed via a CQC technique. Ada, who notices the scuffle, saves Claire by seemingly knocking out the person. While Ada helps Claire, the man in the background comes out of a state of "faking" being knocked out, and raises Claire's Browning HP. Claire yells for Ada to look out, and Ada is shot. However, Ada not being dead, only shot just above the heart and critically wounded, shoots him in return. IFF you can save Ada with medical supplies and proper governing, Ada can live. IFF you don't, she'll bleed out, and while near death, reveals some secrets. *SPOILER*

If that's the case then I guess he isn't gay after all.  

I do wish Capcom will reveal Ada's real name in the future. It will give more twist in the series. To me, she does looked partly asian. Which I really don't understand, if she's a chinese-american or just asian. Her personality is still a mystery.

Weird in a sense that she doesn't look like that. Maybe a little of Asian blood, but she looks far from pure Asian heritage. And yeah, I guess Leon is the one who will be the first (and possibly the last) to find out her real name.
