Big Survival Horror Fan

Hey everybody, since I think I'll be posting fairly often I figured I'd introduce myself

I'm 20. I live in North America. I speak English and can read French fluently (I can speak and write it, but I am out of practice... Reading it is easiest!)

I'm a big survival horror fan. Played all RE (except Revelations) and SH games, along with som other random games like Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, Haunting Ground (in progress), Parasite Eve, Fatal Frame, Clock Tower 3, etc...

I'm currently in University. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and minoring in Mathematical Statistics. I hope to get a decent job programming, living on my own and spending my free time working out and making my own game.

I'm hoping to meet a bunch of you and chat about Resident Evil

That being said, welcome to this madness. Is there any RE games you haven't played yet (except for RER)?


Btw. Did you know Haunting Ground is both a spiritual successor to the Clock Tower series and finished with a lot of ideas taken from RE3.5? I'll start playing my own copy once I finish with Alan Wake and RER.

@Methsia Yes, I love Fatal Frame 1. Haven't been able to get my hands on the others yet though .

@Mass Glad to see another Survivor fan. Not enough out there. My cousins and I play it whenever we get to see each other and have a good laugh at the voice acting. Super fun game though! Do you have a best time? Mine is something like 51 minutes. I've played all the REs besides Revelation. I didn't know that about Haunting Ground, thanks for telling me. I know it was influenced by Clock Tower 3 though since it seems to run on a very similar engine and has many similar features.

@Yoshi It's helpful to know French here in Canada sometimes. It'll also be helpful when I hopefully go to Europe sometime . I re-buy my favorite books in French (Harry Potter, The Shining, LotR etc) and it helps a lot to keep up with French because you know you like the books already, and can concentrate on reading the French itself more

I think my time was somewhere around two hours but I've only managed to play the game till the end once. Reason being, I originally had only a pirated version and had to play it on someone elses console. I know have a normal version too so I should try and finish it once again.

Did you play Confidential Report? How'd you like it?

Actually, I think it was Missy who mentioned playing Genesis. I've also talked with people who have played some of the other mobile RE games, like Degeneration.
