| I disapprove of the S being a 5. And yes, I know, that is the actual title of the movie.
The plot sounds horrible too. |

| I really hope this is the last one by Anderson even though he hopes to do another two more. Then we can reboot the series with the master himself, George A fucking genius Romero.

Wait... what..? I mean... WHAT?! You serious? Oh, fuck no. And what might the two possibly be? The rumored Beginnings and one that actually shows the end of Jill's story? |

The action in these movies are very good. They really need to stop butchering canon characters though. You can do whatever you want with Alice, Rain, and Luther, but leave Claire, Leon, Chris, Ada, Jill, etc alone for goodness sakes.

| The synopsis now has a longer edition, but is still a preliminary for those who want a longer version:
In Resident Evil: Retribution, the world continues to be overrun by the undead – a result of the evil Umbrella Corporation’s viral weaponry experiments that transformed most of humanity into ravenous zombies. Although there are a handful of survivors, their population does not compare to the violent, blood-thirsty creatures walking the Earth.
We open right where Resident Evil: Afterlife ended, with a siege of Umbrella attack helicopters hot on the tail of Alice and the other survivors in the Arcadia. Lead by Jill Valentine, Alice’s old co-worker but current Umbrella employee, the helicopters overwhelm Alice’s ship and Umbrella troopers board the Arcadia. They fire nets at the other survivors, while Jill goes after Alice guns blazing. Armed with two shotguns, Alice manages to avoid Jill, take out several of the helicopters, and make an acrobatic exit just before the ship explodes. As Alice falls, she plunges toward the icy ocean below.
Alice awakens imprisoned in an Umbrella Corporation interrogation room, with no idea how she got there. She flashes back to the last morning of her normal life that she can remember, sitting down to breakfast with her husband and her 7-year-old daughter, Becky. Suddenly, the quiet morning is shattered as undead crash through the windows, attacking their family. Alice and her husband Todd fight to survive, with Todd soon lost and Alice forced to hide Becky while she struggles to fend off undead. Alice snaps back to present day, trapped in a cold room with mysterious interrogators asking her “Why did you turn against Umbrella? Who do you work for? Where is Wesker?” and blaring a deafening sound when she fails to answer them.
Days pass and Alice never responds to her interrogators. Then, one day, she wakes up and there is just silence. Confused, she looks around and finds that her cell door has been unlocked. Although she doesn’t know where she is, she seizes the chance to escape. As sirens blare, Alice begins to run, sprinting down the long illuminated hallway until she finally reaches a door and enters a room.
She walks through the door, and is surprised and confused when she finds herself in Berlin, Germany. Or at least what used to be Berlin. The surrounding area is littered with burnt cars and dead bodies–clearly there was a war that humanity lost. Alice wanders around, looking for clues, supplies, or weapons. Suddenly she feels the ground give way and she’s hurtling down a shaft, which terminates with a metal grate. Alice kicks out the grate, and against all logic finds herself in the streets of Shibuya, Japan. It is not the carcass of a city that Berlin was, everything is as it should be except there are no people. It is quiet, empty and eerily still. In seconds, the square fills with pedestrians, motorists, everyone going about their business. Just as quickly, the undead arrive. Alice uses a blade and gun she’s collected to fight off more than a dozen of them before the ground gives way again and she is thrust into a control room at the Umbrella Corporation.
Inside she finds Ada Wong, her former nemesis at Umbrella. Ada tells Alice that she has come to help her, although Alice is suspicious since she believes Ada still works for Umbrella. She asks Alice “Who do you think let you out of that cell? Who do you think led you here? You wouldn’t have made it this far without me.” Alice remains skeptical but realizes that she doesn’t have any option but to accept Ada’s help, although she has no idea why Ada would want to help her.
In the room, Ada reveals to Alice where they are. “The belly of the beast” she says, “you are in the prime Umbrella Testing Facility.” Ada goes on to explain to Alice just how intricate and vast this place is, revealing that they are entirely underwater in the Arctic Ocean near Russia, where Umbrella has built full scale models of key neighborhoods in the world’s biggest cities including Berlin, Tokyo, New York, Moscow, and London. These models are remarkably accurate and Umbrella uses them to run real-world simulations aimed at understanding how to control the spread of the Undead virus and test new viral weaponry. Alice suddenly understands how it was possible for her to move from Berlin to Tokyo so quickly – her surroundings were only simulated environments.
Confused, Alice just wants to know how escape the testing facility. Ada explains how difficult of a task it is going to be to make it to an elevator connected to the surface, but reveals that they will have some help along the way; Luther West, a good friend of Alice’s who escaped from Umbrella in Los Angeles, Leon S. Kennedy, a leader of the resistance against Umbrella, and Sergei, the technical specialist of the group are all above ground working from the outside to infiltrate the test facility. This team’s primary mission is to destroy the testing facility, but they have allowed two hours to infiltrate and rescue Alice before their charges detonate and the facility explodes around them. Alice and Ada have to rendez-vous at the elevator before time expires in order to make it out alive.
Ada opens her computer revealing the surveillance from within the Umbrella Corporation, only to see Jill Valentine coming at them. Enraged about Alice’s escape, Valentine is willing to do whatever it takes to get her prized prisoner back alive.
With Valentine closing in, Ada and Alice are on the move. Now running through ‘New York City,’ Alice looks around at the striking detail and scale of the recreated Times Square neighborhood. Knowing that the other half of the team is now inside working their way toward Alice and Ada, they have to get past several other city environments in order to reach Luther and his team.
While quickly moving through the New York streets, Alice gets attacked by an undead that she shoots at and easily kills. Clearly shaken, she tells Ada, “I know her. Her name was Rain…But how can she be here? She died years ago.” Ada tells Alice that the undead she killed was just a clone – Umbrella has created clones to test their viral weaponry on. They have more clones of Rain, and even have some of Alice herself, created while she was imprisoned.
They arrive in the next environment--what was undoubtedly a quaint, family-friendly neighborhood which has now been torn to bits by the undead. Ada wants to press on but Alice can’t take her eyes off of one remaining house. She sees something moving in the window and despite the fact that they only have 50 minutes remaining to make it out alive, she insists on investigating. Alice now recognizes the neighborhood and house as the one from her earlier flashback. Alice climbs the stairs, enters a bedroom and sees someone sitting there. It is Becky, her daughter—the fondest memory of the normal life she had before the undead apocalypse began. Becky runs to her mother and they embrace.
Though Ada tells Alice that Becky is simply another clone, imprinted with only basic memories of her mother, Alice’s instincts take over and she decides to take Becky with them. As they leave Alice’s house, Jill Valentine is waiting for them, well-armed with another Rain-clone as back-up as well as other soldiers. They try to drive away, but with Valentine’s team destroying everything in its path with their advanced weaponry, the town is being completely demolished around them. Ada can make it to safety by herself, but she is determined that Alice makes it out alive first. She hands over her map and gun to Alice and tells her to go on without her. Alice reluctantly presses on, not knowing what Ada’s fate will be.
Alice escapes the suburban environment but knows she is far from safe. Valentine and her crew are still after her, and though Ada stayed behind to buy some more time, the clock is still ticking. Becky notices that Alice has a big open wound in her side; Alice has been hurt trying to protect Becky, and she knows that she cannot reach the other team with Becky slowing her down. Suddenly, she sees Rain again and immediately draws her gun. But this time, the Rain clone does not work for Umbrella. It is evident to Alice that this Rain is a well-intentioned clone, so she leaves Becky with her and gives them instruction to hide while she goes on to find the others.
Meanwhile, Luther, Leon and Sergei are getting closer to Alice when they encounter Lickers, a nasty looking, but feeble form of undead with razor sharp teeth and a long slithering tongue. Though the smaller Lickers are easy to defeat, an Uber-Licker advances on them, using its amazing strength and speed to rip Sergei clean in half. Leon and the others open fire, but their bullets do nothing to stop it. The Uber-Licker is face to face with them when he is suddenly illuminated by a vehicle’s headlights approaching.
The headlights are from Alice driving a Rolls Royce at extremely high speeds; she skids up next to them, and Leon and Luther hop in the car. Wheels spinning and rubber burning, Alice takes off on a high speed chase through Moscow. Showing off her driving skills, she does a quick hand-brake at 70 mph, making the rims fly clean off the wheels. The guys are impressed with Alice’s driving but they are still only narrowly evading the Uber-Licker’s advance.
Alice is whizzing through streets and neighborhoods but can’t shake the massive creature; it throws cars aside with ease and continues to gain ground. Alice’s passengers, now clearly worried, see a car heading directly at them, speeding forward with no sign of slowing down, but Alice doesn’t flinch. At the last second, Alice spins out, just turning away as the Uber-Licker crashes right into the mirrored wall that serves as the edge of the replica environment. Relieved and excited, the guys slap hands and cheer Alice on.
As the crew celebrates, they come to the realization that they still are not alone – more undead charge at them as they begin firing their weapons from the car. Weaving in and out of obstacles, driving backwards, and spinning to dodge her pursuers, Alice furiously drives as the other passengers try to fight off a steady stream of Uber-Lickers and undead. The battle has taken its toll on their vehicle and the wrecked car heads for a subway station. Alice hits all the scaffolding on the way down, creating a barrier between them and their pursuers. “Hello! We’re back! You can come out now!” Alice yells, as Becky and Rain run up to her.
Now reunited with Becky and Rain, and with only 11 minutes left to get to safety, they start to make their way to the elevator shaft. They get into the big freight elevator but suddenly, the lights go out and the elevator stops. Leon informs them that someone must have cut the power remotely. Soon, the Uber-Lickers find a way to the elevators and the gang of resistors is surrounded. As they try to get the elevator to move, an Uber-Licker badly wounds one of the men, and another snatches Becky from of the elevator and runs away.
Though Alice knows that Becky is just a clone of her daughter, she can’t help but go after her, even if it means fighting the Uber-Licker one-on-one. With only minutes remaining before the facility explodes, will Alice be able to save Becky and make it back to the surface alive? Can Luther and his team succeed in delivering a critical blow to the Umbrella Corporation?
Resident Evil: Retribution will be presented in stunning 3D and is brought to you by director Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil: Afterlife, Alien vs. Predator).

| I found it on Imdb.com, but the original actually comes from screen gems, it was the original Paul Anderson submitted to them after he had approval from capcom to include Leon and Barry. |
