| Does anyone know if you can do a quickturn in SH5? Turning around during battles is giving me a hard time... |

| The boss battles are so HARD when you can't do a quick turn... Well, the dodge button helps a little.
EDIT: Damn this is a buggy game! Most bugging is patched by now but still. They sure have something to improve to the next game...
EDIT/EDIT: Just finished the game. Should I try it on Hard? I'm gonna play Dino Crisis for a while though, just got it in the mail. Either that or Blue Stinger. |

so HARD HARD Do I even need to say it? Asphyxia wasn't that bad, though it killed me once when I got stuck between her and a wall and without the ability to do a quickturn :/ |

| Woohoo! Awesome! Thanks Regen.
So umm... Is this really going to be set right after the first one? And I REALLY hope they do well with the 3D thing and not just use it because it's "the new cool thing". |

| shattered memories, ive never played. but silent hill 2 is what you will use as a paragon for plot and character developement for years to come. its THAT good. its scary, its disturbing, you really feel genuinely sorry for some of the characters, and replay value is very very high |

What replay value does the game have, or do you mean the usual array of endings? |

I'd say it's as good. Really depends on what you like. It's more like psychological horror and way scarier than RE in my opinion. When you get into it you want to play through the whole series Happened to me at least. |

| I bought Silent Hill in late 2002 after I saw it second hand in a shop. It didn't have the manual, but it was still a bargain to pick it up for ten quid then, considering it costs a lot more than that now. I thought it was one of the best games I'd ever played, and at the time, survival horror felt very fresh for me, as I'd only been a fan of Resident Evil for about a year and a half. Then I got Silent Hill 2 in the original paper case, with the making of DVD included, and while I thought the first game was slightly better, I still say SH2 has the best graphics and a really captivating plot. It was so amazing to just be staring at that lake where you begin your quest, and the locations were all very eerie and you felt isolated and vulnerable. I never did know why it was not wise to use the perfume in the locker, until I found out it attracts monsters. Silent Hill 3 was great too, though not quite to the same level as 1 and 2, but close enough. But then 4: The Room came out. Not necessarily a bad game, it's just really hard and way too frustrating to be enjoyable. I play games to enjoy them, not to want to smash the TV screen cos a game has pissed me off! Truth be told, though, The Room wasn't gonna be a Silent Hill game, until Konami decided to slap the name on and do a few alterations to the story, and voila. Silent Hill had another sequel. Origins... Well, I enjoyed it but there wasn't a great deal in it. Homecoming, I'm not liking too much. It seems very hard, and I get killed a lot. Not really played Shattered Memories because I've just been doing other stuff and not playing games as often as I did in the past... |

I kinda have the same feelings towards Street Fighter IV because that boss is making me wanna shoryuken the tv. I actually didn't know that about SH4. Do you know what the project was called before turning into a Silent Hill? |

| Not sure if it still says it, but on Wikipedia it stated that The Room was going to be an 'original' title not related to the SH series in any form. Though for marketing reasons, they decided to make it a SH game. Kinda like how Devil May Cry was the basis for RE4... |

| Silent Hill is getting HD remastered versions similar to Resident Evil Revival Selection! Titled Silent Hill HD Collection it will feature both SH2 and SH3 and will be released on PS3 only. In addition to being HD remastered the games will be getting all new voice acting and trophy support. Articles at [Gamespot] and [Gamesradar]. |
