Anyway, the movies cannot be tied with the games since the movies f'd up the games' storyline and made up their own. I felt especially bad about what they did to my favorite character (Carlos), because I was actually excited at first to see him again since 3. In my opinion, that wasn't even Carlos. The point is, the movies don't expand the storyline (like the little stuff in-game about about Leon and Chris you mentioned), they try to change it.

One more thing: the viruses actually work on the living, you don't need to be dead.

Back on the topic at hand and because I wanna comment this too: The Wesker idea is ok, but the Sherry/Barry/Rebecca idea is awesome! And isn't Steve from CV dead

no steve was turned into a BOW at the end of v then kidnaped by wesker, wesker told clair that steve might come back like him, special. but id like 2 see them finish the story off with 6. then move into make your own protagonist at start.
i like to name, choose type of eyes face shape skin tone, alot of games go this way, id like to see res follow.

Resident Evil is about telling a story. Games that allow you to create your character are about telling your own story. RE will never go this route as it is an entirely different genre of game. I like the idea of a new series of games where you make your own character and go around a zombie infested open world, but not for RE.

Don't be wanting a Grand Theft Auto style resident evil. That would suck ass.

Not really. It's open world, but you can't make your own character. You can only dress up the one you have.

Gave up on Dead Rising 2 only 10 minutes after playing it.

jamesy can you go into the future or something because dead rising 2 isnt released till another few months.

Only cause its hard to find a good game nowadays. Resident Evil series is kickass of course, well at least the main games in the series are. Could care less for the Gears of War triology after playing gears 1 and 2.

Umberlla Chronicles even though it was a first person shooter still didn't give me the same joy as RE1 Remake or RE4.

Best part of Umbrella Chronicles was the kickass cutscenes.

Just because a game isnt as good as others doesnt mean you have to stop playing it. If your a true resi fan you will play through all the games possible no matter how bad to have the full resi expierence. Have you tried darkside chronicles? great game.

Haven't tried darkside chronicles. probably get stuck on some impossible boss battle if I ever did.

Its actually VERY easy.Much easier than umbrella chronicles
