Has anyone played this? It's a Steam early access game, just came out on Thursday for 13 bucks. I haven't been this happy with a horror game since Outlast, and Amnesia before that.
It's a top-down open world survival game. You search through the forest during the day for supplies to build weapons, make health items, and barricade your hide-out. At night, all manner of creatures try to break in. I could say more, but let this video show you.

That looks like a top-down version of The Forest. The basic idea is the exact same too.
This is kind of like how Project Zomboid is an isometric DayZ.

A lot of people are comparing it to those games in the Steam community. I haven't played them, so I have no idea how similar they all are, but this one is still freaking me out. I'm thinking of doing a few vidoes to show it off to my friends. They're hesitant to buy.
It's really good for alpha.

I'm not saying it'd be bad. I mean, I love DayZ but I'm still interested in Project Zomboid.
However, I am not interested in The Forest so that's already a thing that is keeping me from getting interested in this one. Looks nice, though. Let's hope they get past the alpha.

So how does that work exactly? Like, you get paid for it or is it just hobby based? Freelance? Journalist?
I don't think it works quite like writing for Screwattack, at least.

Hahahaha, get paid, I wish. I knew the owner before he moved to RoH on a previous forum known as Hell Descent. I used to write for HD, got busy in life, and came back about last October and he let me start posting articles. I get a few review copies here and there and can make opinion pieces. It helps with exposure to twitter and tumblr, which I mainly use to talk about my books.

Ah, well that's nice. I only write once a year on Screwattack myself, though that's just my own thing and not actually affiliated with them. If this was a free game (or if there was an extensive demo) I would totally feature it on my blog this year
