| In RE5, Wesker had Chris at his mercy in the bomber plane. He'd pinned Sheva down behind the support pillar, evaded Chris' bullets and come close enough to shoot him dead center in his forehead. There was a period of ten seconds in which he could have killed him, but instead makes another speech, giving Sheva time to attack him.
Did Wesker want to kill Chris at that point in time? |

| That makes sense, he's egotistical, and pretty much wants to see his face on the one dollar bill. Wesker probably did all that work and since no one would really know that Wesker was behind it, he wanted to at least let someone know. In fact, I'm sure he would have wanted to use Chris for Uroboros testing to see if it would accept him. |

| I think Wesker wanted Chris dead. He nearly botched Wesker's original plan from the first game and left him with a horrible facial scar in Code Veronica (which magically healed over the next ten years).
It's obvious Capcom's writing was never superb, but it's gone down hill horribly since RE4. I think it's safe to say they ran out of ideas and had Wesker talk more just so Sheva would have time to save him. |

| I'm gonna fo with what Paul and Vandal said. Albert was egotistical and he wanted to see Chris suffer. Just killing him off with a single bullet wouldn't have satisfied him. |

| Did Wesker think Sheva was still alive? I sometimes think he was under the impression that he´d fatally wounded her, so, no longer believing her to be a threat, Wesker assumed she was dead and he was free to do whatever he wanted to Chris.
This is just one idea. |
