Revelations the good and the bad! Empty
PostSubject: Revelations the good and the bad!   Revelations the good and the bad! EmptyMon Mar 03, 2014 3:47 pm

It's been almost 1 year now since resident evil revelations came out for the consoles.  Since I have completed the game for the second time tonight here is what I think is the good and bad aspects of the game.

The good:
Item inventory and a rich range of customisable weapons
Epic final boss
Chris and Jill are in the game  Smile
Hunters
Mansion/lost in nightmares type setting inside some parts of the ship
HD graphics
Wolves
The scanning device
Raid mode
Unlock-able costumes
Underwater swimming Razz
The riot shotgun
The ending cutscenes

The bad:
Storyline
Some of the characters
Boring/stupidly hard enemies on the queen Zenobia
Cant help but feels its an insignificant/ pointless entry in the resident evil series
Game drags on for too long and feels monotonous
Background music
The map layouts
Water enemies
Even though the final boss was great it could be damn hard to beat Mad

Anyone agree or disagree with my opinions of what is good and bad in the game?

I have to disagree with the story part. I thought this game had a pretty good story.

You must be the only person ever who has liked a water level in a game.

Then again, you do counter this by not liking the underwater enemies, which is understandable. They sucked.

I knew this would be on your list. This wouldn't be a "Jamesy-thread" without it.

I have one question I would really like answered after beating the game...

What will happen to the sea creatures that have fed on the dead Malacoda? Will they become infected with T-Abyss? I would imagine an attempt was made to remove it from the sea, but surely some sea creatures fed on it before that could happen.

This particular plothole will propably be brushed off, much like the fact that some of the infected wild animals must have gotten too deep in the forest for the nuclear blast to hit them when Raccoon was destroyed.

Then again, how many animals willingly eat something that is clearly toxic and dead? I mean, their instincts should tell them not to. Of course, the creature could have bled all over the place in order for the blood to infect more things but I doubt even the devs thought it that far.

the good:

best current/last gen RE game IMO
nice environments
reminds of old RE without rubbing it to your face
you can run from enemies making possible to save ammo
ENEMIES DON'T DROP AMMO

the bad:
too many characters that never came back in later timeline games
toooooo short
