I started my channel with Minecraft videos, after a several months I ended up getting sick of minecraft and began posting videos of other games. The subscribers that I get making videos of minecraft naturally lost interest in the channel, so the low number of views and likes.

I kind of thought that to be the case, either that or you had a second channel and made a new one and subs crossed over.

I only have one channel, more than one year. In that time I got about 2,5k subscribers, when I started to stop posting minecraft and started posting other types of videos related to games I was slowly losing audience and losing subscribers, not counting inactive subscribers who do not access youtube to several months. Currently I set a new focus to my channel and I am slowly removing inactive subscribers, so little by little my subscribers will be reduced to something more compatible with my current audience.

If a big youtuber decides to create a secondary channel usually a good part of his public ends up going to the new channel.

Not that I'd know either, I'v never had a big fanbase on my channels before Yeah big YouTube'rs fan base will most likely follow channels even if they move.
