Hello again, it's been a while. Not a while since I've been on the forums but a while since I last made one of these. Or, well, it hasn't really been that long... I'm not sure where I'm going with this. NEWS, REPORT!!
Last of Us Webseries
Uncharted developer Naughty Dog's new horror game has yet to hit the shelves of your local game store but you can get acquainted with the world in the soon starting webseries called What Remains. The series does not directly relate to the game's characters, Joel and Ellie, but features a group of survivors trying their best not to die in the post-apocalyptic world.
We finally have some new footage on the opcoming standalone version of DayZ, the popular zombie mod for ARMA II. With the developer's commentary, no less! This is the definite zombie game for everyone who is a fan of the genre.
American McGee, best known for his Alice games, is here with a new title! This time you play as Red Riding Hood who has found her occupation as a demon hunter. Baby Bonnie Hood, anyone? The game is a hack'n'slash action RPG and played from a similar perspective as Diablo. You can download the game for free from the developer's website. A Steam version will be available on February 25th.
Got the game? Now get the merchandise! In order to celebrate the release of the game EA has launched a limited edition watch for the whopping price of $265. It's a replica of Isaac Clarke's own watch (he had one?) and really, this is rather similar to Jill's watch bundled with RER I reported on a while back: [link]. The difference here is that this watch is propably not some indestructible military model like the RER one. 300 out of 500 watches are left so uh... if you ever wanted a pricey-as-hell watch, here's your chance.
Capcom wants to know who your favorite Street Fighter is
In other news, Capcom wants to know more of what we think. Last time they surveyed us on their franchises and downloadable titles. This time they are asking who our favorite characters are in thier best-selling fighting game franchise. Choose five of your favorites and they might appear in some game later along the line. If your favorite is not on the list, there is one option where you can write his/her name down.
The upcoming game based on the television/comic series, starring the brothers Daryl and Merle Dixon before and during the outbreak. You can find our dedicated thread for the game [here]
The ex-employees of People Can Fly, the developers of Painkiller, have started their own studio called The Astronauts and are developing a horror game centered around a detective who can vividly visualize crime scenes on a mission to find a kidnapped boy.
Catchy title huh? You might remember Rebellion from back in the day for developin Alien vs Predator for PC. They haven't really done anything worth mentioning, except maybe for the Sniper Elite games, between then and now. What's now, exactly? It's a horror game that has a slight feel of certain well known horror movie series...
