RPG's come with great story, amazing characters, and spectacular worlds to explore. But hey, I never have actually 'hated' a game. I'm a Game Designer: I analyze the game, see what I like about it and don't like about it, then review it, think about what would make it better, than play the game again. In games with multiple paths, I try new strategies to see if the result is different than the previous one, then analyze it again.
I personally kind of dislike FPS and some TPS, because they usually focus on the "HIT THEM WITH THOSE NOOB CANNONS" then give us a good story, plot, and characters (Halo and Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 excluded; Halo has always had a great story, and I'm glad to see that CoD is picking up the story in their games now)
My favorite genres are RPG, Third Person Shooter, Survival Horror, Stealth; Action-Adventure
My favorite franchises: God of War, Gears of War, Resident Evil, Dead Space, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and Gran Turismo.
I'm with you as well with the Madden and other sport games (excluding racing games). Why play sports on a console when you can play them in real life?

I try to win at everything. I suck at poker though. No Poker face I also love God Of War! And almost any fighting game. My favorite is Guilty Gear~ Or MK it's hard to decide. ALso any Eldar Scrolls is amazing!!!!!
