| Hello all, I'm new here. Does anyone have any information on Resident Evil The Book? I was going thru my old books recently and found it. I got it years ago from a Gamestop. Saw it in with the Strategy Guides and I've always liked RE. Tried to buy it but there wasn't a UPC, so they gave it to me for free. lol Anyway what little info I've managed to find is that it's a partial translation of the Biohazard The Beginning book, and that it was a promo item of some sort? |

| Welcome, newcomer.
Biohazard: The Beginning was a promotional item and I think they only gave those out with Japanese pre-orders. They were obviously in Japanese, though, so having a translated version seems like a cool rarity. Nicely found.
Does it have anything else, other than the novella? |

| It starts with a translation of I guess an interview with Shinji Mikami, talking about various things like Sweet Home, the disappearance of Trevor's Note and such. There's occasionally artwork of the various RE characters, B.O.W.'s and zombies. There's 7 chapters to the story. It's starts with Chris being contacted by his friend Billy, and it ends right before the start of the first game, as they're coming up to the Spencer mansion in the chopper. This isn't my copy, but this is what the book looks like: |

| You... You... You have the translation of The True Story Behind BioHazard :O
I didn't even know a translated version existed... You, sir, are one lucky bastard. That's one collector's item you should never lose a hold of. And getting it for free? That's like... I dunno, that's like winning in a lottery. |

| Actually no I didn't. I was curious if anyone knew anything about the book. I'd almost forgotten about it till I came across it. Sorry about not posting more. Been busying cleaning these last couple days. Oh, and I'm a girl IRL, not a guy. |

| I'm pretty sure everyone just assumed that SailorJedi was a guy because only extremely awesome girls like Star Wars and Sailors; and those are hard to come across. |

Oh, and I'm a girl IRL, not a guy. Cleaning takes awhile huh? Clearly she is both a Sailor Moon and a Star Wars fan. And is very thorough when it comes to the cleaning. |

| Actually I'd been decluttering the kitchen of over 10 years worth of stuff that we never used. That can take a while. lol
And I just had to do 12 hours of driving too. heh
But I'm back now. |

| Cool beans! Welcome aboard. In addition to this rare book, do you own either of the Archives books? I actually pulled out my Archives and Archives II earlier to read into some stuff, and look at the pictures! Oh, and if you want to get in on all the hot discussions, on the left side of your screen, there is a list of the most recently active Threads. Good luck, and may the Force be with you, young Padawan learner. |

| Don't have the Archives books. Thought about getting them though. Would be interesting to read more info on the various RE games and such.
Played all the Games except RE Zero.
Haven't seen all the movies yet, just Degeneration. |

Haven't seen all the movies yet, just Degeneration. Archives is basically the Resident Evil Encyclopedia. RE0 Is probably dirt cheap anywhere you look, so if you have a GC or a Wii, RE0 is totally worth getting. It has a cool and dark story, and gives plenty of insight into a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff with early Umbrella, Progenitor, the T-virus, and all that jazz. The movies, as in the Live Action ones directed by Paul W.S. Anderson? Degeneration was nice, I recently reviewed it in our RE Review thread. The sequel, Damnation, does it 10 times better! But Degen is still nice. |

| I meant the CG movies, like Degeneration.
Though I've seen the 1st 2 live action ones. They weren't too bad imo, though they didn't really have much to do with the games. |
