New evolutions in X & Y!
Also, if you have missed this, a new type!
I'm seriously excited about this game.

I dunno. This is the first time I'm excited about a new Pokémon game since Ruby came out. I haven't even touched anything in between, aside from the remake of Silver.

I was turned off during Pearl and Diamond. Maybe this will pump some life into my 3DS after I completely ignored White and Black, and Project X Zone turned into crap.

Then again, back in generation one we had a ball pokemon, a magnet pokemon and a bunch of sentient eggs acting as a pokemon.

I'm not trying to defend those ridiculous new creatures but seriously, we had a gas pokemon back then. I don't really like the generations between ruby and now but these new creatures, evolutions and expecially a new type interest me enough for me to wanna play the game. We haven't had a new type since the second generation, let alone having a 3rd evolutionary stage.

Pokemon was always weird, but ice cream. Think about it. It's something humans made, that would mean in the pokemon world either the pokemon adapted to look like a delicious treat, or humans based a delicious treat after a pokemon. It turns into this weird "What came first? The chicken or the egg?" debate in my head.

I don't mind it really all that much. Especially when they aren't prevalent in any of the games I own
I'm actually pretty intriqued by the debate you proposed. It makes those creatures even more interesting for me
Okay, I just checked Bulbapedia out of curiosity. They are actually supposed to represent a bunch of snow so they aren't exactly "ice cream" pokemon.

But it's shaped like ice cream, they even have cones... like.. argh. I over think this too much. The Pokemon world is strange. I've also always wondered what meat they eat there. I've never seen any actual fish in the seas, nor actual pigs. So is everyone some sort of race of hardcore hippie vegans?

There are normal animals in there, I think. One of the most known examples for this is the playing card for Weepinbell who is looking at what looks like a regular bird. And if not, they could always eat Tauros meat or something. It's not that uncommon to eat animals that some people might consider pets, especially in Asian countries. Dogs are used for meat in China, for example.
Also, why would they have Pokémon farms if they didn't breed them for meat? Breeding one pokemon over and over would not be all that profitable, especially when one can capture such a critter in the wild and breed it if they need anyway.

Watch some of Jwittz' videos on YouTube. He goes into it some. Yes, Pokemon are eaten.

I have, though I completely forgot about that episode. I've watched pretty much all of his fact/news videos.

I don't doubt it but I'm already following a bunch of other channels that are specifically for gaming and I'm not too hot into that whole face-cam thing, at least not anymore. It was fun for its time but got old quick.

He even had a voting prior to his playthrough of this asking whether he should use a facecam or not and whaddya know, majority of people wanted him to. I voted for no.
