Hello to everyone on RE Forums!

Hello everyone. As you can tell, I am a new user here on Resident Evil Forums and I just wanted to introduce myself.
My name's Benjamin, I'm 26 years old and I live in Manchester, England.
I've been a huge fan of Resident Evil since I first got introduced to the series with Resident Evil 2 on the PlayStation (yeah...I missed the first one, but did go back to play it afterwards, so not to worry!)

I'm really looking forward to making new friends here on the site and wish to join in with as many discussions as I can.
I feel this will help me learn some new knowledge from fans all over the world who know more about the series than I do.
So thank you for taking the time to read this! I look forward to hearing from everyone and making new friends!

My favourite character in the whole series has to be Wesker.
I took to him straight away because he is the epitomy of evil! Cool guy and the person who does his voice acting has him nailed down.
I couldn't think of a more sinister enemy.

Albert was a cool antagonist for sure. I don't know if I would have liked him if he was good. He has been voiced by Richard Waugh (RE0, RE4 and CV), D.C. Douglas (RE5, UC, DC, Mercs 3D and MvC3) and Peter Jessop in REmake. Not sure if I even know who voiced him in the original. They all have done a fantastic job.

I'd still like to know what your favorite game in the series was, though

Thanks for tip Mass Distraction. I'm still learning things on the site, so your advice will be well remembered! I don't want to annoy anyone with lots of cut-and-paste business...

In response to your post, I think the voice of D.C. Douglas is probably the one acting that cemented Wesker's place for me. When I played The Umbrella Chronicles, his voice made Wesker into the villian we all know he is!! So that did it for me I think.

Favourite game in the series is definately Resident Evil 3 Nemesis.
Most people would always go for Resident Evil 2, and with the way the game was made up into 2 stories that intergrated into 1 story was an excellent idea! The characters were great too.
But for me, it was just the presence of the Nemesis that made Resident Evil 3 stand out and the fact zombies could now follow you up the stairs.
But never had I felt my heart race as fast as the Nemesis running after me shouting "S.T.A.R.S."...and just when you feel safe by going through a door...there he is following you through it still chasing after you...
Have to say...I crapped myself everytime!

It's k, I do that for business here Not that I would get paid but you got my point.

My favorite is actually RE3 too. It's the combination of Nemesis, Jill, Carlos and the rest of the UBCS. For some reason I found Nemesis to be even more horrifying in Umbrella Chronicles. I think it's the extra creepy voice they gave him there.

Ahhh, seems we're on the same wavelength then with Resi 3.
And yep! He was more horrifying in The Umbrella Chronicles...at one point, I was holding the Wii remote in my chest and quickly spamming the trigger button just to take him down!
But if you've played Operation Raccoon City, you can agree with me that was at his worst!
Horrible voice acting and super-tough too!
So many bullets went into that guy just to neutralise him! What a nightmare!

I still haven't played it, though I've had it since it came out. I kinda want to do it with actual human players rather than AI but I also want them to be kind enough to not skip the cutscenes.

It's a shame that you say that because I could of helped you out with it.
I completed it some time ago, and I enjoyed it a little...but most of the time it was just frustrating. Some of the enemies are just ridiculous when it comes to killing them.
The Hunters, The Nemesis, the 2 Tyrants you fight at the same time....
Not a bad game really...just frustrating most of the time....

In England, a lot of our game magazines gave it no more than 2 out of 10...which was harsh.
I didn't think it was bad as everyone said it was.

I will try to get round to playing it again sometime, so I could help you out on it.
It's much better when there's more than one person going through the story.
This is because the character AI isn't that great...and they killed quite often by just standing around.
