| I have been able to show gameplay over a webcam by using VH Screen Capture Driver. It's very awesome but also quite laggy. Is there a way to fix this or an alternative driver that won't lag? |

| You can't fix the lag because you are using a webcam rather than a direct link straight from source, i.e your tv. I would suggest looking into investing in a capture, either a black magic or HD PVR. They record in HD and I think can go up 1080p if not they do at least 720p resolution, bear in mind they are very pricey. If you don't mind to much about quality you could always buy a dazzle or easy cap, they are only SD capture cards but will look a little better if you use S-video rather than composite cables. You can also just upscale and render with programs such as sony vegas if you want your captures to be fullscreen in Youtube when you upload, note that it will be basically stretched and wont have the smoothness of 720p, but if it's older games like PS1 then it's not to bad.
Alternativly if you have a decent pc (doesn't need to be high end gaming computer) then you can just play on PC and record it with Dxtory, fraps, MSI afterburner or gameclaw etc There are a lot of options there and also camtasia 8 (just out) supports game-play recording now.
Hope this information helped a little. |

| No no. I am NOT using the ACTUAL webcam. it is a driver that allows me to transmit my desktop thru webcam service on msn. I don't want to record. My PC is beefy, no problems there. |

I seen kind of like a stream style recording ? By the sound's of it, it looks like the lag is possible caused by your connection and not your computer itself. If you maybe link me to a video of the program your on about so I can see it in action, I will be able to troubleshoot and determine solutions for a fix on it.

My connection is 20mbps. Just realised it was the same company that made Xsplit lol Right having a better look at it I now see that it's a directshow filter, what this means is that to get the proper performance out of it you need to use it with a screen capture program that supports directshow. The only program I know that supports directshow filters is Dxtroy but it isn't a free program. I'm afraid that is the only method to get this stop lagging as the capture device is only a filter that emulates screen capture rather than a program that calculates screen recording in real time.
You can also try un-installing and re-installing the driver to see if that helps or looking for an update on it. Usually products such as this will have revision updates that patches minor issues, but I don't know if this will have them as it's not program.

Why do you want to work with MSN, are you wanting to live stream your gameplay's ? If so then I'm afraid you cant through msn, need something like procaster or Twitchtv account to livestream.

Yeah you cant do it through MSN, you need a website dedicated for streaming so you can get an account. Here a a few links to help you out. http://www.twitch.tv/http://www.livestream.com/userguide/index.php?title=ProcasterYou can also google and find others but these are the best ones. If you need help on setting them up then just search on YouTube there is helpful tutorials on how to get them running the best way and getting the best setup's. |

| I did try that with ManyCam but I couldn't find any options for streaming desktop to it. Livestream works much better although it is a few seconds delayed to the viewer. |
