Newbie Here

Hello there!

Well, as the topic title says, I am a newbie, not just to these forums, but to RE as well. I really only started playing the series last June after I found a copy of Director's Cut at a local Goodwill store. I think I played it for maybe....4 minutes before I got frustrated and shut it off.

Ok, now flash forward a couple months later, and I'm looking for something to play. My buddies constantly are telling me that "You need to get into a zombie game." (They're all COD fans Rolling Eyes

). So, after some digging, I found my copy of DC, put it into my PS1, and fired it up....I was pretty much hooked. Razz

And there you have it.

As everyone can probably tell from my user-name, my favorite character is Jill. She was the first character I ever played as ingame, so I sorta formed an "attatchment" to her. (Not in a creepy way though). Rebecca is a close second though, and I wished that Capcom had made more use of her. If I had to pick a third character, it would be Chris. Seriously, he reeks of awesomeness. And my favorite RE? I can't decide between the original or the Remake, but Code Veronica is up there as well.

I also love to write fanfic, and I dabble a bit in drawing as well. I also mess around with Paint.net and make book covers, signitures, and such.

I've played the original orignal RE (I've got the longbox version! Very Happy

), Director's Cut, 2, Code Veronica X, 4, Zero, Remake, and Umbrella Chronicles. I'm hoping to get Nemesis next Smile

. There's not much I can recommend to you aside from RE3 and 5 (both amazing games). The spin-offs are a love/hate thing.

Thanks. Oh yes, the spin-off games I've heard much about. Some of them good, some of them bad (Looks at Gun Survivor 2: Code Veronica). I'm trying to complete the main numerical games before I verge into the side stuff.

Welcome to the forums, enjoy the stay.
Nice to see in time you eventually gave Resident evil a bigger try.
You will from now on love the whole series if you loved the original game.
I will also suggest getting a copy of Resident evil 2.
It's not as hard as the original resident evil but the storyline,characters, in game
atmosphere, BGM's and generally gameplay is truley amazing

There is also a few other members on the forums that love writing fanfic, so you will be
able to share your fanfics with everyone.
I dont write them but enjoy reading them, so feel free to post them on the forums for
other members to give you feedback.
