What if, It is Elza Walker instead of Claire Redfield

Hey, I am just wondering, What if Capcom didn't replaced Elza Walker by Claire Redfield. What will you think the Story will flow? But before that let us recall who is Elza Walker. According to her Biography on Resident Evil Wiki, Elza Walker was a main character in the beta version of Resident Evil 2 . When the game was revamped, almost
from scratch, she was replaced by a very similar, but unrelated, girl; Claire Redfield. As in the finished game, one
of Elza's supportive characters was Sherry Birkin . Her other supportive character was Robert Kendo , who only appeared in the final game briefly as the gun shop owner. Not much is known about this character, except
that she likes motorcycles, much like Claire, and attended Raccoon University. So why did Capcom replaced her? All this years, She was the only Character who had been replaced.

They probably wanted to replace her with Claire, since they wanted to have a character who was somehow related to a character from the first game (Chris).

I guess, that's one of the reason too.

I for one am glad they replaced her with Claire.

I prefer Claire.

I wouldn't mind seeing Elza show up at some point though.

I wouldn't mind if they never changed her design.

I wouldn't mind seeing her appearing as a new character or having a cameo. That'd be cool.

Well, Chris and Jill were there from the beginning but these two guys got replaced. I wonder why Chris's name is in Japanese, though?

Yes, although he appears in the picture on the wall of the STARS office in RE2 & 3.

I know all that but do you have any other explanation for the extra guy in the STARS pic? It was said that he often worked with the STARS teams as an extra pilot so it could as well be him. At least I like to think so.

It was most likely a mistake by whoever created the image since the character did not exist in the original Resident Evil game. In the original RE it is Dewey's hand that is found by Joseph Frost. However, this got retconned for RE0 and instead Dewey is found in the train and turns into a zombie. In REmake Dooley then becomes the one killed by the Cerebruses but instead of just a hand it's a mutilated corpse. It's a good explaination though to make the picture fit.

My guess is that they retconned that extra person in the pic by giving Kevin the background of being used as the STARS's pilot on multiple occasions (hence the helicopter in the background). I don't think they explicitly ever even show his face in REmake.

They show him but he has a helmet on so you only see the bottom part of his face.
