Did anyone notice that in "Wesker's report 1"
it says after RE2, Claire went to Europe to find her brother Chris. and Leon joined forces with Barry in an anti-Umbrella organization.
Isn't that a reference to Resident Evil Gaiden? which I though was deemed non-canon.

Edit: My bad... this probably should have gone in "RE Discussion"

I remember it saying that Leon joined an anti-Umbrella group, but I don't think it mentioned anything about Barry.

And that Anti-Organization thing I always thought was sort of debunked by him ending up with the US government. I mean it's something that can be the same, or maybe he did it in addition to serving the Prez, but IDK.

It does. I thought it was interesting.

That true, that makes sense.
But, it's an the official Capcom RE:A2 book, so either it's an error, or they have deemed Gaiden canon once and for all.

Did it actually mention Barry though?

And this is in the Archives 2 book? If so I'll have to go look into that myself.

Gaiden was originally supposed to coincide with the events of Code: Veronica. Only after RE4 was released they decided not to count it into the canon and leave it as a non-canon spinoff. As the first Report was made at the time of CV I can see it still being in there.

Gaiden was stupid. No shit, I think I had a Gaiden dream last night though. Like I was seeing Leon and Barry moving around. Leon had that vest thing on and everything...this just reminded me of that.

No problem. If I ever have a super weird dream I'll post it. If I ever have me a lucid dream, I'll post one of those too, and if Nite has another Wet Dream he'll post about that as well.

There were two versions of Wesker's Report 1. The first one that was released with Code: Veronica X didn't mention Barry. The second one was an updated one for the 10th anniversary and added Barry to the line at the end. But the first version is the canon now since Resident Evil has since ignored Gaiden.

Where's your proof?

I'm actually curious about this second Version. So it's a second version of the first Wesker's Report? Cuz I know what Wesker's Report II is.

And what did it say about Barry?

It's the second version of the first Wesker's Report. It was bundled with the Biohazard 10th Anniversary in Japan. Basically it just said Leon joined an underground anti-Umbrella organization along with Barry. Then they didn't mention Sherry being in Wesker's custody. Those are the only changes.

Ok I remember now. I remember hearing about this several months ago, and then it just kinda dissapeared...

I remember hearing something about DC Douglas dubbing over the Report or something like that. And the last part about Sherry being ommited.

Where can one obtain this? And most importantly, watch it?

They had the download for both Wesker's Report versions at Project Umbrella. But the files have been gone since megaupload or whatever went down. Best thing to do is contact whoever is in charge and ask them to re-upload the files.
