Actually she was meant to be a part of the game, all the way since the original concepts. She only got a more prominent role after the racism claims. She was originally supposed to be introduced later in the game as a part of a guerrilla group. Chris' original partner in the game was supposed to be Barry.

Oh yeah, I'm aware of this. I meant to say her role wasn't supposed to be as important. I mentioned that Barry but in a prior post.

I m with you on AI mate, I did not find too much of an issue except when i had to face the gatling gun majini the first time. I wanted sheva to duck and she would not and there was no command to get her to duck.But then i dragged her along the stairs and found some cover where ducking was not required.

Why do I have the feeling I semi-started a war over a character? I was only trying to lend a helping hand to those who seem to 'have these issues in specific' to her.

Let me just say, for the record, that it isn't Sheva herself that I dislike, it's having a charge to babysit every time I play RE5. In fact, I actually do like Sheva, but I agree with Mercy in that she was extremely underdeveloped.

I love how everyone here is nerd raging haha. But I have to say Sheva was pretty uninteresting and as a lot of people already pointed out, you really didn't care whether she died or not come the end of the game. Steve from CVX on the other hand was way more of a developed character. He had an interesting back-story and you eventually felt some sympathy for him. His death was actually meaningful (I compare it to Ada's "death" in RE2). You actually felt the loss that Claire had after he passed. That's what Capcom needed to do with Sheva. Yeah Steve had an annoying voice actor so what. At least his character was interesting.

i am also a resident evil fan,kinda obvious but whatever i also like karate


about the topic,i dont think sheva was that bad,the character itself
had a very poor backround story,and imo sheva shoudnt have been in the game
in the first place

Karate is overrated. The real winner of a fight is not who's the better hand-to-hand combatant, it's the guy that gets to a weapon first and shoots or stabs his adversary.

When I was young, I was in Tae Kwon Do. Better than Karate in my opinion.

I've had to defend myself with a weapon in the past, yet haven't gone to jail or been raped.

I've had to defend myself against a weapon. A knife. And I won. So really, it's the person who gets to a weapon and at least knows how to use it who wins lol. It was a very small knife though. Little pocket one.
