| You know, only two of those are anime.
Anyway, my favorite won't be any of those. I can't decide between these so I'm gonna go with Angel Beats!, Outlaw Star and TTGL.
For favorite cartoon it'd be MLP: FiM. Other great ones are Biker Mice from Mars (findub plz, it's hilarious) and Extreme Ghostbusters. I loved those two as a kid.
DragonBall I liked more as a manga. |

DragonBall I liked more as a manga. I thought an anime was a cartoon |

| What is commonly referred to as "anime" is Japanese animation. Anime as a word is just Japanese for animation. |

| What Mass said. Anime would be DBZ, Bleach, The Boondocks, Samurai Champloo, Gantz, Death Note, Sailor Moon, etc. The Last Air Bender is the closest thing America has to Anime.
As for the poll, none of these. My favorite anime of all time has to be Gantz. |

| Boondocks isn't anime either. It's an American animated series. I still agree on Avatar being pretty close to what would qualify as "anime".
Btw. my friend is all for Gantz, too. |

| It isn't? I've never watched it. I just knew it was on Adult Swim and my friend always used to watch it and call it anime. My bad.
Gantz is great. It's so different and it definitely stands out to me. Most anime are about some teenage kid getting some super power and defeating all odds no matter what they are and everything's fine. Gantz is pretty much a tragedy. Though it's still about a teenage kid who gets an awesome suit lol |

| FullMetal Alchemist was way better as a manga.
I just got into Lupin III. It's awesome, although I'm only in for the movies.
Which do you like better: Ghost in the Shell movies or The Stand Alone Complex? |

| I liked Lupin III back when I was a kid, but I've forgotten everything about it. I should start watching it again. |

| Oh yes, Pokémon and Digimon were awesome. I still watch Digimon, kinda got tired of Pokémon after the third generation. |

If you're gonna start watching it again you should go with DragonBall Kai. It's pretty much a remake of DBZ. |

If you're gonna start watching it again you should go with DragonBall Kai. It's pretty much a remake of DBZ. I watch that on cartoon network the other day and I didn't like it at all, mainly because it looks EXACTLY the same, and I'm not talking about the quality and talking about the esthetic, it is identical... maybe they should have played REmake to learn how to remake something. And besides, I don't like the fact that it is cut down, when I was a kid I have to settle with an episode per day...at least with the dvds I can watch as much as I want... |

Oh come now, Hoenn was the best. The best everything. The Starters, the plot, the bad guys... It was the best gen. It was towards the end of Hoenn that Pokemon started bugging the hell out of me. Team Rocket, no matter how insignificant and unthreatening they were always kept coming back to steal Pikachu. Every episode showed them starving and out of money and yet somehow they have enough cash to build 40 giant Meowth robots per season. Perhaps I just grew up, but Hoenn just bugged me. |
