This game was planned to be a noncanon spinoff from the beginning. Only later it was hinted that you could play the game through either the canon or noncanon way.

Here is some brand new gameplay footage as well.

Ugh...i feel so left out. ill probably have a ps3 by then. i also hate how i havent seen any of these badass trailers....

Thus far i could care less about these new characters and the plot....just being in raccoon and seeing the familiar locations, characters, maybe some familiar music, etc, thats whats got me amped.

also, the controls, lets not forget about those. if it plays like Mercs3d, then ill be a happy camper.

What I could deduct from the gameplay footage:

• The USS team is accused of the outbreak by Umbrella and they need to prove themselves "innocent".
  
  
• You will most likely bump into Nicholai every once in a while.
  
  
• The text at 3:12 confirms that the story campaign can also be played on multiplayer: "All surviving players must be present to proceed."
  
  
• The game's gonna be dark as hell. I swear I'm gonna crap my pants when a crimson bursts from the shades.
  
  
• Better watch out for infections.
  
  
• Vector is able to change his attire to look like a Spec Op to confuse the enemy.

Btw. Do you think that the guys Nicholai left for dead are the team he was with in Outbreak during the Decisions, Decisions chapter?

Kinda like how the Spy is in Team Fortress 2.

Maybe this has been answered already, but is G gonna b featured in the game? That would be beyond awesome, since we already have Nemesis and Mr. X.

@mass, while i havent really seen any new footage, tying the stuff we saw of nicholai in outbreak with stuff in orc sits well with me.

i hope we also get some insight into nicholai's whereabouts post raccoon city.

I never played through all of either Outbreak game. How did Nicholai come into play?

at one point in the first Outbreak in the Decisions, Decisions scenario, nicholai was up on a building, watching as a team of UBCS guys got slaughtered bt thanatos, the tyrant.

he was trying to collect the T's Blood. that comes into play with the P-Base and V-Poison making the vaccine Daylight.

anyway he launches a capsule that collects the T's Blood.

you later see him with a silenced pistol assassinate Greg, the ex-umbrella researcher, for whatever reason. this all taking place at raccoon university. and he leaves in classic nicholai fashion, strapping bombs all over the building to take it down just like the hospital.

anyway, these guys that get slaughtered by thanatos, were wearing ubcs gear, but they seemed like they might have been working more legitimately with umbrella than the foreign ubcs guys we see in re3, carlos, mikhail, etc.

I think it was just a regular T-103 model as it was deployed on the streets rather than the RPD.

As for Monster's question: The game will feature both Birkin in his mutated form and HUNK's team trying to collect the G-sample.

This game is going to be absolutely outrageous.

Looks amazing i bought the vector avatar on the PSN after watching this im also hyped for nemesis.

I also just had a thought if this game has like Outbreak enemies and bosses (which it should) This will be the best resident evil game yet I dont even care if its canon. A resident evil game with 4 player online story mode in all of racoon city with every enemy from each game that took place in Racoon City is just fucking epic as fuck PLEASE DONT LET THIS BE A FUCK UP...I now have so high hopes for this game EEEEEEEEEEEEE FANGASM

I know its unlikely but I feel there will be A Tyrant Nemesis fight..........just because it be epic to watch AND THAT CUTSCENE WITH THE NYX EATING THE TYRANT HAVE THAT OTG BUT OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

I do believe they pushed the game back to add a certain polish but also to add some extra gameplay mechanics and features.


It's certain that slant six have changed a few things up to now.


I hear a lot of individuals want to play both sides not just Umbrella hopefully slant six will realise this also = $$$

One thing i do hope for is being able to take direct control over the super weapons that umbrella drop it would be amazing.

Nemesis ?


I was wondering about what he would say obviously for the awesomeness he has just have a voice selection with each super weapon take nemesis he says S.T.A.R.S!.


Many possibilities can be done !

Im more wondering the role of nemesis like will you have to fight him or will he be an ally or like playable or does something go wrong or what lol

Well at this point he will be an ally as he is umbrella controlled.


But as i said to others being able to send super weapons down and taking control of them would be great the only problem is maybe they could have not just a campaign mode possibly a free roam side feature where you just walk around kicking ass ?
